On the basis of location and reviews I was adamant about staying at the Casa de Sierra Nevada Hotel, despite other suggestions by our (then) travel agent. Casa de Sierra Nevada is incredible!!! It is located in the beauiful historic center of the San Miguel de Allende and has an ambience of a luxorious hacienda. Everything in the hotel is perfect. My wife and I just spent four wonderful days touring San Miguel de Allende, and enjoying the delightful food and atmosphere at this quaint hotel in central Mexico. My Husband is in the Hotel Business, he knows the value of Good Service and a Beautiful Hotel . At Casa Sierra de Nevada we were not disappointed. The Hotel is classic Old World Charm with all the modern comfort and luxury of today;s first class hotels. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. more

The entire team of staff was warm and gracious including the driver who picked us up at airport, the reception staff, the concierge staff, the waiters in bars and restaurants, the housekeepers, and especially Gustavo, who brought us fresh coffee and flowers each day. Plus he lit our walkway with candles each night. more

A fine place to dine, enjoy drinks and of course to stay. The Hotel is classic elegance and reflects the charm of San Miguel. The staff are well trained professionals and provide an unexpected level of service. My choice for best hotel in town. more

We traveled to San Miguel as an end of the summer family get away. We saw this as a great alternative to just another beach resort. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy the town and surrounding sights. We stayed for 5 nights - perfect for us but perhaps a day or two too long for teenagers. more
