we stayed at the La Mansion Del Bosque for one week and found the staff very helpful and friendly. the courtyards are beautiful and the hotel is close to the center of town and wonderful cafes. Some of the rooms there are very nice and spacious, while others are small. It was cool at night and the inn provides a small... more

The rooms are cute and show an artist's touch. The courtyard is lovely. The location is very good. But the manager seemed annoyed by our very presence. Worst of all was the food. It was included in the price, and we chose this place because a guide book said the owner is a cookbook author who uses local ingredients and... more

Having never experienced a pensione before, I had nothing to base my expectations on. I thought it would be something along the lines of a Motel 6, but I was mistaken. If only it were like a Motel 6, I would have been so grateful. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and there were no fans in the rooms we booked.... more

I had made a reservation for 3 (couple and a child) over the phone. When I got there 2 days after the owner accused me of lying and saying we were 3 instead of 2, she wanted to charge us more (we had already been told the room was 86.00 US) how much more can I be charged I thought.... more

We stayed at this pleasant guesthouse for two days over Christmas 2007, after traveling from Mexico City, see separate review of Hotel Camino Real, Chapultepec Park. The guesthouse is on Aldana Street, about 4 short blocks from the main square, cafes, shops, central market and the main church, the distinctive Parroquia. The guesthouse has a pleasant interior courtyard, small dining... more

This charming guest house is within easy walking distance to nearly everything in San Miguel, but located in a quiet neighborhood full of charm. It is spotlessly clean and the unique rooms are all delightful. The garden and courtyard are beautiful and colorful as you can see in photos attached to other reviews. My first visit to San Miguel was... more

I had done tons of research on places to stay in San Miguel. I wanted the bed and breakfast, small inn feel w/o the mandatory breakfast. That is jus what I got at this great place. When we arrived they coudln't find my reservation. But they were great and gave us a room right away and told us they would... more

Having always rented homes in SMA, we were curious about how we would like the hotel/B&B experience. This is a good value for the location and the included breakfast and dinner. The rooms are clean and light (rooms 5, 12, 13, 14) and have privacy. This is an old building, so don't expect glitz! Ruth Hyba is the owner and... more

The Inn is very well located , colorful and very clean. Beautiful flowers surround you. The food was very well prepared. I also would like to mention that I found the... more

Just returned from a stay in SMdA. Stayed at Mansion del Bosque for six nights. It was great! The B&B is within a short walking distance of Jardin and many other areas. Ruth (the owner) is the grand dame of the house and runs an efficient operation. The property is vey pretty and you can get just enough privacy. Many... more
