Let me put it simply, the Rosewood Hotel in San Miguel de Allende in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato is one of the finest hotels/spas in the Western Hemisphere. It compares favorably to our favorite hotel in the world, Le Sirenuse in Positano, Italy. While it does not overlook the Amalfi coast, the panoramic view of San Miguel from... More

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of spending 4 days at the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. It was a perfect stay. We had a Colonial Room (209) that suited us perfectly. We had our breakfasts in the restaurant each morning. Delicious. Dinner at the 1826 restaurant one evening was perfect. Loved the location. Peaceful. Easy walk to... More

We recently spent a week in San Miguel de Allende and evenings at the rooftop bar/restaurant of the Rosewood Hotel were a highlight and daily ritual. We found the food to be above average, the drinks to be good and priced reasonably, the staff to be very friendly, and the location/atmosphere/sunsets to be world class! San Miguel de Allende is... Expensive but worth it if pure luxury is your style. The ambience, service, and facilities are world class. Not as pricy as most Rosewood Hotels. Good walk to central plaza. I love San Miquel, the sights, the people, the food, the art. It is a place for strolling.

Great location, wonderful roof, and great food. Friendly front office staff. But bad pool management. The noise equaled that of our community pool, where I pay $5 and expect noise. When I pay Rosewood prices, I want the pool area to be more quiet. Bring your ear plugs when you lounge at the pool. And don't expect management to manage... More

Went here last year and was blown away by how lovely and peaceful this place was .The rooms were beautiful(we had adjoining suites) and the service was excellent. Started off with a marguerita in the lobby upon check in continued thru the afternoon swim in the pool with very helpful staff and finished off in the rooftop tapas bar.Even the... More

I don't usually whine about the cost of things but in this case I'll make an exception. I was in San Miguel Allende last March and spent a couple of hours on the roof of the Rosewood. It is a great way to see the view of San Miguel Allende but you can certainly find a less expensive way to... More

Dear winteringinPV, Before anything else is said, allow me to thank you for sharing your opinion of how your experience went. Although I don't share your opinion of getting a better view elsewhere, I do respect it. As you correctly appointed, Luna only faces to the downtown area of the city (in my opinion, the most beautiful view that San... More

Wow, the view from the rooftop is amazing, but what is more amazing is the food. The mushroom risotto, handcrafted drinks, intimate seating, fantastic view of the city, on & on DO NOT travel to San Miguel de Allende without spending an evening on Rosewood's Lunas Rooftoop Tapas Bar, truly an experience.

Even though the hotel was built with the old world charm in mind, it's completely brand new and has all the space and amenities you could possibly want. The room I stayed in was huge, the bathroom alone was the size of some hotel rooms I've stayed in. It had a beautiful separate tub from the shower. I will say... More

A beautiful hotel just outside the center of /san Miguel. Easy to get to by cab. If you don't need to be in the center of town and want to have a first class experience in this beautiful colonial town, you can't beat the Rosewood Hotel.
