the hotel is very pretty, the personal attention of the manager is wonderful, the can get you anything you need, but the main issue is that the hotel does not have air conditining in the rooms, some times the fan is not enough.

It's my first time to visit San Miguel de Allende for my friend's wedding. The room is very cozy and full of charm. The garden and terrace is very lovely. The stuffs are very friendly and helpful. The only issue is the room is too hot without air conditioning.

Service is outstanding, with attentive and helpful staff. Located in the city center of San Miguel, a short walk from all the main attractions. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the price is lower than most comparable hotels nearby. My only complaint is the erratic internet service.

You get charged (and stay at) a nice boutique hotel, yet feel as if you are just outside a taxi or bus terminal. The noise is overwhelming, even with ear plugs. They advertise (and have) double glass windows, the problem is the space between window panes where it is impossible to seal out noises. How about a chocolate covered powerful... More

It has a great location, and a different wonderful view from the terrace to the Cathedral, Unique and small. Each room is like a suite, out of an architecural magazine. Worth every cent, It does not have that "hotel " feeling, but rather a feeling of being a guest in a posh home

Loved the place! Not cheap, but worth it. Only a few rooms, rooms #6 was huge, and terrace is great! It's in a central location, walking distance to plaza. Since place is small- u can just walk to reception for anything.

We found the hotel via tripadvisor and it was wonderful. Two blocks from all the action. A rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view. But all of this was totally put to the side and trumped by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially Gabriela. Everything we needed or wanted she had in a heartbeat. Outdoor massage with relaxing tunes,... More

everything about our stay at Casa Tierra Negra was enjoyable, but Carmen made our whole experience over the top. She is an amazing hostess: attentive, caring, hospitible, and downright awesome! Prices are very reasonable and the service is tremendous. I would recommend to anyone coming to visit beautiful San Miguel.

This boutique hotel is on a busy & noisy street. The garage door is left open for long periods of time giving it a feeling of poor privacy. We were in need of toiletries and called the reception several times, no one answered the phone. The wifi service was down for hours but again no one answered the phone to... More
