We had an unforgetable stay here. What a great place to stay while visiting SMA. The place is so nice so well appointed. Great rooms, wonderful and plentiful breakfast, super friendly staff and owner/hostess.Every little detail has been considered. We spent three nights and we loved the place. What a great experience. The linen, the bed, the food, the cleanliness,... More

My husband and I have stayed in well over 100 B&Bs around the world, and this is one of the very best. Our spacious and comfortable room #5, Huichol, was superbly decorated with original Mexican artwork. The entire property is beautiful; no detail has been overlooked by its creators and our hosts, Antonietta and Francisco, who went out of their... More

My wife and I spent 9 days at this charming B&B from Jan 27-Feb 5 2016. I am a retired physician used to the finest quality in a travel experience. The Antigua Capilla offers advantages over other SMA options for a number of reasons. The owners are gracious, always helpful and available, and quite knowledgable of the town and surrounding... We stayed at the Antigua Capilla for a week (in the Santa Clara del Cobre room) and enjoyed every minute we were there. The hosts, Antonieta and Francisco, have thought of all creature comforts and then some: silky linens, iPod/iPhone dock, DVD player, and, of course, TV. Our room was lovely and bright. My only criticism is that, due to... More

As our driver deftly maneuvered down the narrow and steep, uneven cobblestoned street, we were immediately taken by the random patchwork of brightly colored stucco facades and the narrowness of the descending sidewalk leading to the center of town below. Stopping at a constricted almost claustrophobic alleyway, we looked around for the Antigua Capilla B&B that would be our home... More

First of all, this place is more beautiful in person than it appears in pictures and that is rare for any establishment. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and also delightful smelling! Yes that is right, I found San Miguel in general to be a wonderful smelling place. Scents seem to be important here... Anyway, there are two items of note... More

A little off the beaten path, this charming B & B is perfect for couples in San Miguel de Allende. We were in room 3, nicely decorated and very comfortable for two. Breakfast featured fresh fruit, toast, and a different entree each day, many locally inspired. Our hosts, Francisco and Antionetta were attentive and available and very organized. The street... Antigua Capilla B&B gets its name from the ancient chapel in the patio (antigua capilla = ancient chapel). Scarlet and purple bougainvillea and pink trumpet vines cascade over wrought iron railings. Stunning views of the city of San Miguel from the rooftop patio or the patio. Colonial spanish architecture and tiles throughout. Luxurious bed linens and room amenities. The breakfast... More

Beautiful grounds with immaculate details, great location overlooking the city, and wonderful hosts that are there to help with anything needed. Not to mention they provide a great breakfast and coffee to start off each day! Will definitely stay again!
