Hotel Divisadero , Copper Canyon Mexico 01Mar2015. Without a doubt the Hotel Divisadero , perched on the edge of the copper canyon , a few minutes walk from the train stop is quite amazing. The rooms , although simple, have been recently renovated and there was plenty of hot water. We were lucky enough to have one of the rooms... More

This hotel is wonderful for design in that every room has a view and at every meal you look out over the canyons. The hotel reception could use some work in friendliness and helpfulness. They seem to be about helping mostly the big groups of tourists who come in on tour and so they seem pretty dismissive of the single... More

We stayed one night in the hotel Divisadero Baranca and then whent by bus to Creel and stayed there. Considering the short distance our advice is to stay in Creel which is much cheaper and one get a better service then in this hotel and make a trip from Creel to El Divisadero by bus (1hr drive for 50 mxn)... No complaints. You are there for the views, which are spectacular, & shouldn't expect 4-5 star lodging. It is a very pleasant, clean & basic property. If you visit in the winter as we did, you may have a problem with the room temperature. No individual heating controls & room never really warmed up. Perhaps they have individual heaters you... Located in the beautiful Copper Canyon next to the train station. Room average, but views spectacular. Staff very helpful and attentive. Short walk to telepherique and zip line. Worth a stay just for the view.

This hotel is a wonderful, lodge-style experience in the most fantastic location we've experienced. No, it's not the Hilton or other 5* world class hotel. It's an aging, rustic, warm, cosy place with everything you need to be comfortable: Wifi in the lobby ( not the rooms), meals at set times, with fixed menu....Supper over 2 days was soup, meat,... If you are taking the Copper Canyon train ride, stop here for at least one night. The hotel is perched right on the edge of the confluence of a number of the canyons that make up the copper canyon complex. This gives it a utterly unique perspective across a wide vista. The views from the bar, dinning room and many... More

The view of course was spectacular. The staff was friendly especially the waiters in the dining room. Despite the buffet method, the food was good and the dining room spacious and welcoming (unlike the dining room at El Mirador, which was cramped). The hotel lobby itself included a bowl always full of free apples, a complete bar, and board games... More

The hotel is located at a comfortable spot since it is right outside the train station. The view of the cooper canyon is amazing. The rooms are OK although the service and the food are not that great. One day we visited hotel "El Mirador" and it seemed better and more fun but the view is better at Barrancas. Walking... More

The rooms overlooking the Copper Canyon were fantastic. Very clean, neat and comfortable. Staff was most helpful and assisted in finding really good guide to take us to Canyon Rim, Cable Car Ride and visit to more remote areas where original people actually live as the have for centuries. Within 50 yards of "El Chepo" stop and native vendors offering... More
