After spending the previous few nights well off the main tourist track, it was a bit of a shock to arrive at the Posada Mirador and find a full house of cruise ship tourists and other very large groups. That said, the hotel is very comfortable, the food delicious, the service excellent, and the views -- well, they simply cannot... more

We just returned last week from our independent trip to the Copper Canyon. I had placed my room reservations with them directly through their website (I worked w/ Yanira Espinoza who was very helpful and nice). In order to make independent room reservations with them, you will need to do a wire transfer. Luckily they have bank accounts set up... more

We stayed in this hotel for two nights the first week in September, 2008, as part of a trip on the Sierra Madre Express. Our room was on the third level so we had no one above us and an uninterrupted view from our balcony of the stunning canyon and its mists, stars, and the fires of the Raramuri at... more

Very interesting reading other people's reviews. Seems that the only constant is the inconsistency! Three of us spent 3 nights at the Mirador (we specifically requested this hotel) as independent travellers. Thankful that they had our reservation even though they didn't have a record of our excursion voucher. We purchased it again. We were greeted warmly at the front desk... more

We stayed 2 nights here with a tour group. The view is spectacular. However there very little heat in the rooms requiring us to sleep in "sweats". It's cold at night at this elevation. Bottled water is the rule and the food is served on cold plates resulting in cold food. more

The Mirador hotel has a spectacular view from each and every room. I went with a tour group and the staff was friendly and the food served family style. Hotels in the Canyon tend to cater to groups and independent travelers were seated at small round tables at the edge of the dining rooms. Its easy to see why they... more

We booked one night at the Hotel Posada Mirador in October 2007 based on what we had seen of the hotel on its website as well as others, and despite some of the negative reviews the property has received, as we thought that the views would make up for it. We had booked our reservation through a well-known, reputable Mexican... more

We stayed one night at the Posada Mirador during a whirlwind, spur-of-the-moment trip to the Copper Canyon. We loved the Posada Mirador! They have got their service down to an art. Because of their remote location, they are able to anticipate their guests' needs very well. We were picked up at the train and shuttled up to the hotel, where... more

Arriving at this hotel we were greetly very warmly and enjoyed a cool drink. We went in September of 2005 and this is a good time of the year to visit as the hot of summer has passed and the cold of winter has not quite arrived. Our room was right on the canyon, literally. You will not be disappointed... more
