What an appalling place. We booked a room with a view and because the hotel had a tour in, which they had not expected when we booked, we got stuck in the annexe, across the railway line. I had to argue with them about the price. The place across the way was far cheaper - 875 pesos per night, but... More

I stayed at Posada Barrancas for a night over Semana Santa. The hotel is beautiful, located right in the middle of the canyon. There was a beautiful viewing terrace to sit on and look out on the canyon. We were able to hike around the hotel and see more of the canyon on our stay. They provide breakfast, lunch, and... More

Hotel Mirador is 1 km away from the Mexican train station Posada Barrancas the hotel is part of the chain Balderrama Hotel Collection and locals don't approve how this chain is trowing sewage water to the natives tarahumaras river, the behavior of this hotel has already cause that natives Rarámuri move farther from their original lands. Staying in this chain... More

Rooms are fantastic. Don't get one in the new section...it's too far to walk. The views are amazing, with a decent balcony to see them all. Food in the restaurant was good, and the waiters did an excellent job.

But we certainly had value for the 24 hours we spent here. We found plenty to do walking round the area & can't really think of anything new to say about the view.....the cable car was well worth the money we spent & thanks to the services of our guide one of us was able to take advantage of the... I stayed here with my mother and my wife and my main concern was that my mother was comfortable. As an elderly woman I wanted to make sure that there weren't too many steps that the room was clean the bed was comfortable and the food was superior. Well aside from getting all of that she also got this for... More

I could spend all day sitting on the deck of my room looking out over the canyon. The hotel picked the most amazing spot to build. Totally breathtaking. All the rooms are perfect. I could spend days watching the light change in the valley. Everyone should consider taking the train in. That's an adventure itself.

The Mirador has great rooms with your verandah literally hanging over the edge. Magnificent views. Staff were fun. Breakfast is good. Lunch and dinner are terrible. The hotel tries to do “Western” food and it is rubbish. One meal was inedible. Why? At Diversadero station (walking distance up the road) the locals make real Mexican food over open fires and... The rooms have private balconies overlooking the canyon. The sunrise view is not that great, because you are looking into the sunrise, but sunset is wonderful. At night, the stars are magnificent, because there are few artificial lights. The room has a good shower stall with a curtain, so the water stays in. There is good flow and hot water.... More

Arrived here by train with a group for 2 nights. Weather was cold & had to buy a hoodie to keep warm. Rooms was clean, comfortable. But be prepared to walk & climb stairs depending what room you get. Views were unreal. 6pm at night they had entertainment for half hour & as well our guide was called upon to... More
