Wonderful village location. Ian & Mary were superb hosts and on hand to offer advice of places to visit in the area. Very clean & spacious accommodation. Nothing too much trouble. Good nights sleep on comfy bed. Excellent breakfast facility. Would go back again.

Another lovely trip to the Northumberland area was ideally complimented by our stay at the Old Manse, Chatton. We stayed for 3 nights- 2 nights in the Ingram Suite (ground floor, good access, very spacious) and the final night in the Harthope room (first floor, four poster bed and beautiful views). All of the rooms seen are decorated to the... More

Sorry we could not accommodate you in one room for your entire stay but at least you had the benefit of experiencing two of our rooms - I'm afraid we can't guarantee all our guests a solar eclipse at breakfast time. More

Well after stumbling upon this little gem somehow on Google, I seen that they had a room available for Valentine's night and was reasonably priced considering, at £85. From the moment I booked, Ian and Mary were in contact to confirm the booking an ask what time we were arriving so they could make sure everything was ready for us.... More

This B&B is a must if travelling to this village, Ian and Mary are two of he most astute hosts you could ask for. All main attractions are within easy reach of this location with Holy Island, Bamborough Castle, Chillingham Castle, Alnwick and much more. We're glad that the bed was so comfortable that you were able to get a good night's sleep after your spooky experience at the Chillingham ghost tour which lived up to your expectation. If we weren't able to get you on the real ghost tour at the castle we were prepared to dress the other guests up in sheets to... More

We spent a very comfortable night at The Old Manse. Ian and Mary were welcoming and helpful hosts. The room was very well presented and contained all sorts of thoughtful things one might need whilst staying away from home, including refreshments. We had an absolutely delicious breakfast in the morning, and Ian and Mary provided an excellent folder of suggestions... More

A brilliant, hidden away gem of a bed and breakfast. Brilliant amenities, lovely sized accommodation - I stayed in the college room which I believe is the smallest - more than ample space for a couple. Excellent breakfast that sets you up for the day and Sue and Ian were a font of knowledge on the local area with recommendations... More

Thanks for your review. I hope we're not too hidden away so that people can not find us, but we are on the edge of lovely Chatton village surrounded by lovely countryside but within staggering distance of the village pub. We're glad that you were able to wind down after your walking holiday in Northumberland, and take it easy at The Old Manse - you must have been so chilled out that you didn't realize you actually stayed here four nights (arrived Saturday, left Wednesday). More
