We stayed in Cuddy's cottage for a week. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us (and our dog). The cottage had everything we needed - it was like home from home. It was lovely to arrive to some homemade scones with cream and homemade (warm) bread (+ milk and eggs) after our long journey. We were made very... More

One of the best welcomes from the many cottage holidays over the years. Fresh scones, bread, jam and eggs on arrival a lovely surprise. A clean, well-equipped cottage in a beautiful quiet setting. Amenities such as shops, pub etc are too far to walk but we knew that when booking and didn't want them nearby anyway. Andy and Lorna offer... More

Perfect location for hill walking and beaches. Beautiful clean cottage with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Helpful friendly host who made us feel completely at home. If its a quiet location you are looking for this is the place to stay.

A lovely, well equipped cottage. A warm welcome by Lorna & Andy who work so hard to ensure their guests have a great holiday. A fantastic rural setting with lovely views. Handy for many areas to explore - The Cheviots, the coast, castles, gardens or just enjoy the view of from Homildon House and relax. Delicious home baking. Fresh produce... More

What a welcome! A friendly face, a lovely farm in a nice spot, freshly cooked scones and a warm loaf just out of the oven. Just what's needed after the drive up. The cottage, which was Cuddys Croft, was compact, yet stacked with everything you could need. It was clean and perfectly sized for two people, or two and a... More

Dear Lee and Sue, We are so sorry the travel cot we provided for your baby was not suitable and disturbed her sleep. It is a shame it spoilt your enjoyment. We will check with other guests and will replace the cot as necessary. Many thanks for your kind comments on other aspects of your stay. With best wishes Lorna... More

We have visited Spylaw 6 times now and never get tired of it. The accommodation is bright, clean and spacious yet cosy with a lovely wood burner for those chillier days. The location is perfect for nature lovers with the Cheviots and the coast so close by. Andy and Lorna are the perfect hosts and lovely people. We can't miss... More

My partner and I stayed at Cuddy's Croft with our little girl for her first birthday in February. We found it to be a lovely cottage with all of the mod cons that we needed for the duration of our stay. The cottage has accommodation on two floors (kitchen/diner and bathroom on the ground floor and bedroom and living room... More

Have been visiting Spylaw for over 10 years. Our recent visit for our 25th Wedding Anniversary was as we expected. Amazing. The location is breathtaking, and the farm is lovely. Small children would love seeing all the animals. There are an abundance of walks to go on, as well as many sites to take in. A favourite of ours has... More

We have just returned from a 3 night break at Homildon House at Spylaw farm. Myself, my wife, our 2 year old Labrador and my mother had a great time. We arrived mid evening and were greeted by Andy and given a brief but very thorough tour of the accomodation. My wife and mother adored the freshly baked scones and... More

We stayed in Homildon House 14-21February 2015 and can honestly say that the place is fantastic. We have 3 Labradors and had been looking for a "dog friendly" place to stay during half term week. Andy and Lorna were happy to accept the three dogs, and after a long drive to get there, to find freshly baked bread, scones with... More
