What a welcome! A friendly face, a lovely farm in a nice spot, freshly cooked scones and a warm loaf just out of the oven. Just what's needed after the drive up. The cottage, which was Cuddys Croft, was compact, yet stacked with everything you could need. It was clean and perfectly sized for two people, or two and a... More

We have visited Spylaw 6 times now and never get tired of it. The accommodation is bright, clean and spacious yet cosy with a lovely wood burner for those chillier days. The location is perfect for nature lovers with the Cheviots and the coast so close by. Andy and Lorna are the perfect hosts and lovely people. We can't miss... More

My partner and I stayed at Cuddy's Croft with our little girl for her first birthday in February. We found it to be a lovely cottage with all of the mod cons that we needed for the duration of our stay. The cottage has accommodation on two floors (kitchen/diner and bathroom on the ground floor and bedroom and living room... More

Have been visiting Spylaw for over 10 years. Our recent visit for our 25th Wedding Anniversary was as we expected. Amazing. The location is breathtaking, and the farm is lovely. Small children would love seeing all the animals. There are an abundance of walks to go on, as well as many sites to take in. A favourite of ours has... More

We have just returned from a 3 night break at Homildon House at Spylaw farm. Myself, my wife, our 2 year old Labrador and my mother had a great time. We arrived mid evening and were greeted by Andy and given a brief but very thorough tour of the accomodation. My wife and mother adored the freshly baked scones and... More

We stayed in Homildon House 14-21February 2015 and can honestly say that the place is fantastic. We have 3 Labradors and had been looking for a "dog friendly" place to stay during half term week. Andy and Lorna were happy to accept the three dogs, and after a long drive to get there, to find freshly baked bread, scones with... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Spylaw early in the New Year. We were welcomed with homebaked bread and fresh eggs, scones which were all delicious. The cottage is really lovely, well laid out, extremely well equipped (and we have we are difficult to impress) and everything is of excellent quality. The woodburning stove was perfect for the time of... More

Spend six nights at Spylaw over the New Year period. Lovely welcome with homemade bread, sausage rolls, mince pies and hot mulled wine! Cottage facilities of Homildon House first class and Lorna and Andy were discreet and efficient hosts. Supplies of eggs and bread all week - and the meal they prepared for us on our final night was excellent.... More

We visited from 3 January. The cottage was absolutely lovely with every comfort and convenience, a real home from home. The surroundings were peaceful and tranquil and our excellent hosts could not have done more to make us welcome. There were home made scones and jam and home baked bread waiting for us in the cottage. The weather was fantastic... More

We spent a week here, early November and cannot recommend this place enough. From the homemade food to order, beautiful views and well equipped cottage we were really impressed. Andy and Lorna were great hosts and waking up to sheep grazing right outside the door was a real highlight for our 2 1/2 year old. Spylaw is in a great... More
