I was visiting a weekend conference and concert in Longridge and a local friend suggested the Ribchester Arms. Not only was the booking process easy (even if the room requests were slightly complicated!) but the rooms were delightful, the location so idyllic, the staff and proprietors so kind and helpful (sorting out a meal and a table on a busy... My hubby and I ate here the other evening when the place we wished to visit was booked up. Car park very busy, but that was because there was a private function taking place. Staff very helpful and we were shown to our table in the restaurant. Specials were explained and a lovely lady with long red hair took our... More

Generally the food is of a high standard, but twice recently we have been disappointed. Also note that wine by the glass is very expensive. The large fish and chips was all batter and little fish content. The Sunday roast dinner is very good and consistent.

Popped in for lunch, greeted by staff straight away, lovely friendly welcome. Told about the rear beer garden as the front was full and handed menus. The food was reasonably priced and a wide choice of dishes. I tried the lamb burger and my hubby had the roast beef barm. My burger was delicious and my hubby's beef was so... More

Called in for lunch with my family and have to say we were all disappointed. We have been coming here for years and have always been very happy. Leon and his team were brilliant. A couple of us ordered a roast expecting the usual high standard. What we got was very fatty strong lamb ,frozen roast potatoes, and very sweet... More

My wife and I booked to stay at the Ribchester Arms en route home to Scotland. We had read the reviews and were slightly concerned as to what we might find. We need not have worried: the room was excellent and, in particular, spotless; the food proved to be the best pub meal we had experienced in years; and the... More

Went for dinner, sat us on the smallest table possible, even though the table was pre booked it wasnt ready on arrival. Staff was to laid back, forgetting thing etc. Decor felt really old fashion. The food was excellent and well priced. Would visit again on a more casual basic
