Went for dinner, sat us on the smallest table possible, even though the table was pre booked it wasnt ready on arrival. Staff was to laid back, forgetting thing etc. Decor felt really old fashion. The food was excellent and well priced. Would visit again on a more casual basic

Very good food, I had the beef Sunday dinner lots of beef and a giant Yorkshire pudding there was a good variety of veg to go with my mash and roast, the gravy taste really good too, after I had a nice walk round the beautiful village.

Used to come to this place often, the back terrace next to the small stream was and is lovely. However, while the food used to be great it is now pretty awful in relation to its gastro pub price. But you expect better than frozen chips at a gastro-pub, and dried herbs on a salad. As for the garlic bread,... More

We have enjoyed dining here for many years, but since it changed hands it has gone down hill. My usual chicken in mushrom & tarragon sauce, well, watery sauce, chicken served on top of my new potatoes, making them soggy. Prices up to. Will not be going back.

We have been going to the Ribchester Arms at least once a month for probably 15 years and have not received anything other than excellent service and quality of food. The proprietors changed in February and I'm afraid that the service is now poor, the food is not a good as it was. When I complained about the service the... More

We were travelling home after picking our son (24) up from Preston train station and decided to eat en route rather than wait the 50 minutes and swerve the hassle of cooking when we got back. We turned off to Ribchester as we thought it might have a pub or something. After a very short time we arrived at The... More

Just spent a week in Ribchester and initially sampled the Ribchester Arms as nowhere else was serving food. Service was friendly and very efficient, food good and good value. Dogs welcomed. We were so happy we went back every day! Thanks to all concerned.

If you are looking to stop in Ribchester whilst doing the Ribble Way, then the 'Rib Arms' is a fine place to stay. A decent selection of well kept beers and a fine menu to choose from (with good portions too). My room was clean and comfy and there was a good selection of tea, coffee etc. Fresh milk and... More
