I came here for a wedding and i stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. For me it was a great experience, after a long drive i had a strong headache but the lady from the reception gave me a pill and everything was ok after. We stayed at the last floor, we had balcony, the breakfast was buffet and very tasty for me. I have nice memories here.

We stayed at the top hotel, not the base. So we took a ski lift with our bags to get to the hotel, which was a nice experience in itself! Great view of the mountains around. One in our group did some skiing one day and enjoyed it a lot. The entire hotel was built in a very nice style with big wood logs, including the cabins with the rooms where we stayed. The breakfast was very basic, nothing impressive there, but the dinner food was great. The bed and pillows were good, and the entire hotel room was very nice! The shower had a bit of an issue with the pressure varying from one second to the other, but the heat was good. The service was good, either they've improved it recently or the older reviews here are overly negative.

The ski slopes are in ok condition, but the restaurant ia working at 30% capacity but the personnal at 5%. I waited 30 minutes for to be served and another 30 minutes to pay. But it seems this is ok for this place. You come to ski but you need pacience to eat, a lot of it.So what do you need to ski or to eat? The person from the picture is the one that made me wait... There are other ski slopes on a 20km radius.

Decent place, the food is tasty, except breakfast, which is poor and every day the same, so wouldn't recommend for longer stays. The bread is quite bad, not fresh and there's nothing (croissant, cracker) to have with your coffee (another major problem - the coffee machine - not one morning without it out of function). The rooms could have been cleaner and the hot water is a problem, because we had to wait each time 15 minutes in order to take a hot shower. The staff is a bit weird, trying to avoid customers.

Very slow service, they were able to communicate only in Romamian. Nobody was able to speak other foreign languages, like English, or German, or Russian, or Hungarian. Too much salt was put in the food.

The location is quiet, the accommodation conditions and the modest meal are worth 3 stars and at the Cota 1000 you can enjoy the perfect skiing, tubing for adults and children, strong wifi in all area, on Saturdays there is also DJ party and good music, boilers burning the fire, where you can warm up, traditional food and good will for all ages. On our YouTube channel: Dan & Beka journey, you can see a winter party video at Suior filmed in the feb month. 2019.

I attended a conference at Base Suior (with participants also at Cota 1000) which was handled very professionally by the hotel staff, the rooms are clean, the food is good and the huge "tent" outside was excellent for our conference. All in all a very nice experience. I hope to come back to stay there a couple of days for vacation in the near future. Recommended!

Do you like mountains? This is the place. Amazing view, strong mountain air, good food. I highly recommend to my fellow Americans if they come to EUROPE. And also recommend to visit Maramures County. P.S. The roads are in very bad shape but what you will see worth it.
