We stayed for the weekend of the RWC quarter finals in mid Oct. Janice was the perfect host and very friendly, with rooms that were cosy yet spacious and all the mod cons needed. The breakfast was superb, and cooked just what we wanted, as well as a lovely selection of cereals and fruits. She was helpful with all sorts... More

For family reasons I'm a regular visitor to this area and often need somewhere to stay. I've stayed at The Lychgate six times over the last three years and it has become my guest house of choice in this area. The earlier ones were when The Lychgate was managed by Glynis and Gordon. The last two under the management of... More

We stayed at the Lychgate when we got married at Caldicot castle. We were made most welcome, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were superb with lots of quality toiletries. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit juice, cereal, a full cooked breakfast and toast to name but some of the choices. We would recommend it unreservedly.

A one night stay to attend some training. The owner is very welcoming, the room was a very good size, extremely clean, very comfortable with a great selection of complimentary teas, sweets and even a bowl of grapes! A very good breakfast topped off a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended and very good value.

Lovely ,comfortable BandB with double glazing so no noise from the very convenient pub opposite. Close to the castle and walks. Breakfast enough to keep you going all day. Can get a train into Bristol from nearby station so makes seeing the sights there very accessible

This B & B was recommended by a local business I was visiting. I have to say it felt like a home from home. Very welcoming and relaxed. The pub over the road do a mean evening meal to boot. Lovely hot breakfast and homely feel. I hope to revisit soon.
