It feels a bit like in a dream with the wondeful view on the estuary in a middle of a wooded parkland. The rooms are very comfortable although the interior design is a bit old fashioned. Very friendly service all around and a special bonus for the breakfast scrambled eggs - just delicious!

If you like old fashion values and want an escape to beautiful isolation, then this is definitely the place to go. A huge old Chateau with magnificent rooms and huge spiral staircases overlook the bend in a huge lake, or look out into a fantastic forest. The staff could not have been more helpful, professional and always happy to provide... More

You expect great things from a Chateaux & Relais property and Chateau de Locguenole delivered. We stayed here when we visited Carnac, Quiberon and Le Cote Sauvage in November. Of all of these type of properties we stayed in, this was one of the most interesting, as the house had been in the family until relatively modern times and has... More

We enjoyed our one night's stay in this lovely chateau. Our room had a great view over the inlet. Our dinner was exceptionally good and the service was, as one expects at a Relais and Chateaux establishment, exemplary. We found the very creaky floor in our room rather fun but I suspect that others might not and so I thought... More

We sated with a 3 yr old for one night. The room in the chateau was nice and big. Great bathroom but I did not like the fact that the toilet was not in the bathroom. There are beautiful walks in the woods and the view of the sea is impressive. We ate in the restaurant. It was one of... More

My husband found this hotel on the net, I must say that price is very good. the position of the hotel is good cleanliness is top class, rooms very confortable and quiet. Staff in general good. I would like to point out, that during the month of august, the nearby town Henneboot and around the area, is like a "dead... More

Once found, it was worth every euro! Such a pleasant reception, tea on the terrace overlooking the water, a very comfortable room and a very interesting table. The little things matter here. The butter comes from the nearby farm, the seafood is very good and very fresh, the personnel are extremely attentive, but discrete. Perfect service! Our last evening we... More

A lovely romantic getaway in October, to this agical place. Set at the head of a ria (flooded river valley) it reminded us lot of the Helford passage in Conwall. We stayed in a lovely room with exposed oak exams right up in the gods with stunning views over the sweeping lawns to the sea. The restaurant is outstanding and... More

As other reviewers have said, the hotel is in a splendid position overlooking the estuary and has lovely grounds to walk around. There is also a very nice balcony overlooking the gardens on which to enjoy a glass of wine in the late October sunshine. Parking is secure and the chateau is a lovely old building with comfortable public rooms.... More
