Dad, 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son had a fantastic day on the river. The whole process was well organized and very professional. The venue was fantastic and our guide was a pro. The riverside lunch was impressive and the post trip slide show was a nice perk. I would highly recommend Northern Outdoors for families looking... More

My wife and i had our fist white water rafting trip and loved it. The cozy cabin was great, the lodge/brewery was also great. Only disappointment came from the fish and chips, described as beer battered(they have their own brewery), and I got Mrs Smiths fish fillets. Other than that the food was good, beer was good, trip was great.

Just came back from our second and last stay at Northern Outdoors for an ATV trip (back country rentals - awesome!) Stayed in Boom Chain BOTH times (not by choice) and the same issue was still very present if not worse. How hard is it to fix a clogged drain or wash clearly dirthy bed covers? Apparently maintenance was sent... More

I am sorry that this guest experienced a problem with the tub drain on both their stays with us. We take ongoing maintenance problems seriously and have processes in place to take care of reported problems. If there was a previous complaint it unfortunately didn't make it onto the maintenance log, which could mean we need to improve communications internally.... More

Went up with a large group of friends to camp and whitewater rafting. It was a good time. It was nice they were able to get us campsites right next to each other and fit all of us, but the campsites had full trash cans. The bathrooms could have been maintained better.

Our family enjoyed a day on the northern Maine trails! The ATV's were clean and in great working condition! We chose an unguided tour and they thoroughly explained the trail system so we were able to navigate a beautiful tour. It was a perfect experience and we will be back!

15 of us girls drove over 5 hours from Rhode Island to the Forks Maine, to surprise our friend with a bachelorette weekend of white water rafting!! Our cabin was HUGE, very clean and everyone fit comfortably in their own rooms & beds. The cleaning staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to help us when we... More

This was my 3rd white water rafting trip with Northern Outdoors, and they have this perfected. Everything is well organized, all of the raft guides are amazing, and the experience is designed to give the most enjoyment with the least amount of hassle. It's clear that their goal is to do whatever you want to do, and to give you... More

Rafting, guide, staff, food were GREAT, but by any mean plan ahead and avoid lodge room #2: skylight leaking on bed in middle of night, traces of previous rain infiltrations, minimal bathroom, noisy at any period of the week, not just during week ends because of live music. We were transferred in the Crying Loon cottage, for the remaining of... More

Our raft guide Tony was excellent. He scolded us at first because we weren't following his commands properly. We soon became much better after a little up front practice. He asked us up front on what kind of experience we wanted (easy to hard core). We chose hard core. We hit all the big rapids except for crib works that... More

Our family had an amazing experience at Northern Outdoors this summer. The white water rafting was fantastic, but the staff are the ones who really made it special. They were so personable, knowledgeable, fun & out going. The trip will be made annually from now on! I would highly recommend it to anyone! The lodge is great, the food was... More
