Stayed in one of the cabins with 9 adults. Plenty of room. Rented snowmobiles for half day Friday. They need a little more snow but was still a blast. The staff throughout the place were fantastic. Would stay here again. Saw a bald eagle so keep your eyes open.

Hi Christina, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and snowmobile trip, regardless of the lack of snow. We hope to see you again in the future, maybe even with a few more wildlife sightings! More

We’ve been coming to Northern Outdoors for years, mainly for whitewater rafting both on the Kennebec and Penobscot. Of course, there's the beautiful Maine scenery. My husband loves the brewery. There are a couple of nice easy hikes around the area. The restaurant’s food has steadily increased in quality over the years. We’ve generally been happy with the accommodations –... More

This was my second time staying at Northern Outdoors. We stayed at the campsites pretty far away from the lodge. They were far out and we had our privacy and for $13/night per person, how could you go wrong? The only complaint I had is the ridiculous amounts of poison ivy EVERYWHERE. Not sure what the best method for removing... More

Northern Outdoors asked me about my experience. I replied kindly and honestly, but they're clearly only looking for 5 Star reviews to post. Bottom line, someone spaced it and didn't finish cleaning our cabin for 9/13. Dirty sheets on the floor, cigarette ashes in the bathroom and old cups on the coffee table. I asked for a different (cleaned) cabin... More

I agree with the guest that his cabin should have been clean upon his arrival. On this occasion as outlined by my colleague below we made a mistake. Our front desk staff tried to immediately solve the problem but we operate on a 100-acre campus and she had to locate housekeeping to confirm which cabin was clean as we didn’t... More

I absolutely loved white water rafting and staying in their cabins! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and my friends and I had a great time! The restaurant inside the lodge had delicious burgers & wings, everything was incredibly organized and the DVD they put together of our ride down the river was hilarious! It was nice getting... Had a fun birthday surprise here recently for my boyfriend. Was an absolute blast! Camping over night was great, food was good, and the resort was totally awesome. A pool and hot tub right near the resort was great to have. Drove up Friday and spent the night Friday and Saturday with another couple and friend. Way middle of nowhere... More

Stayed in the logdominiums. Room was beautiful, it is all wood. It even had a hand crafted picnic table that was gorgeous. We went rafting on the Kennebec. The rafting experience was enjoyable. We ate lunch on the river, and it was much better than other rafting trips we have gone on. Most trips are sandwiches or wraps. We had... More

My family was at Northern Outdoors last weekend (Thurs - Mon) and we had an amazing time!! With two teenage daughters and busy working parents, it isn't often enough that we have a chance to spend real quality time together. Northern Outdoors appealed to me not only because of all the great reviews, but also because it's almost like camping,... More

My husband booked this trip for me as it was on my bucket list, and I'm so glad he did. We had a great time. I was nervous, but the guides were very knowledgeable and quick to react if someone fell out of the boat (only 1 person on our boat fell out, and they were in the front)...Lunch was... More
