My friends and I have gone rafting with this company a few times, and each time it is incredible!!! The day spent on the river is so much fun, especially when the waters are high and the weather is beautiful. We usually go in August and thus far, have had great weather every time. The Forks site has more to... More

Super fun resort complete with cabins and the lodge has their own brewers. We go every year when we white water raft the Dead and Kennebeck rivers. There's also 90' Moxie Falls nearby which is only a one mile easy hike.

We had a blast! It was more of an adventure than we expected. Our guide Tony was awesome. He kept us safe, was always in control, and non-stop entertained us. Very accommodating with our kids. The way the rafting co. comes together as a team to prepare a large group lunch is amazing. The scenery is spectacular. It's so much... More

It was great fun rafting with Northern Outdoors, they are and first rate operation. We had a great guide who despite her small size could really communicate loudly even with the river roaring...that's important. They served us a first rate lunch on the banks of the river with lots of hot coffee...we needed it! Afterwards a great video presentation of... More

Stayed here for a ATV trip with several buddies. The place is well equiped, it has a nice restaurant and bar. The rooms in the lodge were average, but have no TV. The place has a Hot Tub and heated pool, but you have to go through the bar to get to them, strange. There were several nights were it... More

Rafting with Northern Outdoors is always a blast. My buddies and I go every year. The guides are great, the stff are friendly, and the facility has something for everyone considering you are in the midde of the wilderness. I have been equally satisfied and happy with their accomodations and experience on the Penobscot too. A high class company who... More

I just stayed for one night. I was driving our school's bus to pick up our Senior Class from their "Senior Survival Week" on the "Moose River Bow Canoe Trip" Northern Outdoors Adventures accommodated me on short notice with a nice clean room in the loft. I really enjoyed the hearty breakfast served downstairs in the dining area of the... More

We spent an overnight here on the way from Quebec City to Bar Harbor. We rented a cabin, which was WAAAY up a dirt road, very isolated and remote. We had wanted to do the whitewater raft trip the following morning, but it was off-season, and they could not meet their minimum on this particular weekday. We were a bit... More

I was apprehensive to say the least, but the trip was amazing. Our guide Derek was excellent & the surroundings at Northern Outdoors were beautiful & very comfortable. Prices in the dining room were a little high for what we ordered, but the food was good! If you like local breweries, then you'll love this too. Take home a Growler-the... More

Dad, 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son had a fantastic day on the river. The whole process was well organized and very professional. The venue was fantastic and our guide was a pro. The riverside lunch was impressive and the post trip slide show was a nice perk. I would highly recommend Northern Outdoors for families looking... More
