It may be a good hotel when getting away from it all but it has poor service and very unhygienic. The staff does not know what is cutlery for any meal. they fill up water in in empty water bottles and give to customers.

The hotel is like a palace.. if you go in Off Season, you might have the Whole Palace to yourself! Rooms are big and spacious, extremely beautiful! The place offers TT, Carom, Pool, Swimming Pool and a great ambiance! Service is a little slow though, but can be overlooked considering the rest of the amenities. It can get a littlie... More

This is a palace in the middle of no where. Alsisar is nothing to rave about. The hotel really is a palace. It is ornately decorated. Rooms are large and tastefully decorated. Has swimming pool. You will need to eat at the hotel as there is no where else. Dinner is expensive by Indian standards $40 a person but it... More

The Alsisar Palace Hotel is situated in a rural village in the Shekhawati area, famed for its large town-houses (havelis) with paintings on the outer as well as inner walls, with inner courtyards and latticed windows designed to maximise the passage of cooling air through the rooms. The Alsisar Palace, formerly owned by the local Maharajah, has many courtyards, and... More

Stayed at Alsisar Mahal for a night. Hotel's lobby is beautiful, rooms are huge and swimming pool is very inviting. It's a very quiet place to relax in the evening. We visited this area (Mandawa region) of Rajasthan to see havelis of nearby towns (Mandawa, Nawalgarh and Fatehpur). These havelis are famous for their intricate art works. Wall paintings on... I like staying at hotels which add something to one's holiday. The Alsisar Mahal is a former palace with a huge wooden entrance gate, located in a small village on the northern edge of the Shekhawati region. It's been restored very well - one feels like a Maharaja when eating in the glorious formal dining room, and the reception area... More

A beautiful palace hotel in a village. The Hotel itself is very beautiful and is royaly decorated. Rooms are huge and pool is great. Dinning room and lobby area are exquisite, very true to a king's residence. Average room in this hotel has space of minimum of two rooms in a regular hotel, its includes a spacious sitting area plus... More

Super visit. Drove from Delhi. Friendly hosts. Helpful staff. Peaceful place. Good food. Nice accommodation. Expensive is always relative. Travel around and use the palace as a hub. Do a weekend or more here.

A former palace and now a wonderful heritage hotel. Our room was huge and had a four poster bed. The dining room is spectacular. Step just outside the hotel and you are in an atmospheric village that is off the tourist track. A wonderful experience.

During our trip around India, it was quite refreshing to step back in time and enjoy the basics in life where our room had no television! The setting was fantastic and the dining room spectacular. The food was delicious too - all prepared under the watchful eye of Sham - a colourful character!
