Had a one night stay here with Riviera Travel, lovely hotel in an old town/ village on the Silk Road. Staff were very friendly, rooms were big and stylish, food in general was fine. Lots of history as it is former Maharajas palace and has a colonial edge to it. Pool wasn't too clean but the hotel is a jewel... More

Being from Rajasthan and having extensively travelled there I feel I can recognise an original and authentic regional, cultural experience and I felt so at Alsisar mahal, and besides that, having attended the music festival at the palace, I get the feeling that this place is not just a place whose claim to fame is its rich heritage and opportune... Dear Anirudh, Thank you so much for a heartfelt review we are so grateful. We have tried to keep our Alsisar Mahal property as authentic as possible to provide guests with a truly regal and old worldly experience. The magnetic fields festival is built entirely along this theme and serves as the perfect background for the ethnic and diverse performances... More

The palace is amazing, from the massive gated entry through the courtyard, gardens and everything in between. Seriously fantastic. The rooms are massive, the architecture is sometimes cute but mostly just flat out awe inspiring. You'll know what that means once you see it. Not sure how many times you get to kick back at a palace. But if you... More

This is one of India's so called Heritage Hotels - converted palaces and forts - with this particular one in the village of Alsisar which in times past was a town of wealthy merchants who made their fortunes through Silk Road trade, They then all went off to Mombai to ply their business with the advent of steam ship trade.... Has to be my favourite hotel/palace in India. Superb rooms and the food is excellent. The dining room alone is worth a visit as it is beautifully decorated. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Many local attractions make this an ideal hotel to stay in.

well its a beautiful property, very remote location. Nothing to do around. you could just go there & relax for a weekend. the few locals around are very warm & welcoming. but as i said there is nothing to do or see close to the palace.

We were stranded there for 6 hours because the manager there failed to arrange a proper vehicle after having arrangements with them for the ride.. Had to Sit there 6 hours with my 90+ year old dad who cannot walk and was in wheelchair! It is in middle of a small town so unless you are local & have connections... More

This is a quirky conversion of the real thing - a maharajah's palace. There's still some work to be done to bring it up to international standard, but I wouldn't have missed the experience for a pot of gold. The rooms are immense, and no two rooms are the same. We had a four-poster bed, a dressing room and a... More

The palace converted to hotel is located close to Jhunjhunu town and is around 3 hours drive from Jaipur. It is one of those places where you can experience the grandeur of a Royal life. The front desk check in is good and the restaurant serves excellent multi cuisine variety. The staff claims that the vegetables and fruits used in... More
