We stayed 2,5 months at Salayish during the autumn of 2013 and we are so happy we found this great place! Salayish has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere, and Ayo, the owner has been so dedicated when creating the lush and diverse garden. The traditional huts blend in nicely in the garden and the absence of cement is a relief! All... More

After getting kicked out of previously booked accommodation, we moved over to Salayish Lodge. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable in their traditional style. The whole complex is peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens. Even though it is set back from the lake, there are some great lake views from a dining room and view point. The traditional meals... Loved our time at Salayish Lodge and Park. We stayed in the honeymoon suit on the hill for two nights. Though it was a bit of a hike to it, It was a beautiful spot and well worth it. The staff was exceptional and helped us with anything we needed. The fish was great too.

We have spent the 2 last nights of our stay in Ethiopia at the Salayish lodge in December 2013 and can only provide positive comments. Lovely and welcoming family running the place, beautiful surroundings with view on the lake from the dining area, relaxing, simple and beautiful bedroom in a lovely decorated tukul. The family has arranged our transfer to... More

What a lovely and green place to stay! The gardens with many plants and flowers is just gorgeous! The bungalows (no lake view but more bungalows are being constructed and apparently with lake view) are located in the middle of the garden! A larger double room cost about 400 birr, and a smaller double room around 325 birr, in May... More

People are very kind, honest and sociable. If you are looging for very original place where stay with animals in forest, in house... More

Just got back from our weekend at Salayish Lodge. Really, really lovely place and such lovely hosts. Please make the effort to go! We escaped from Addis by bus to Debre Zeit and although our taxi driver struggled to find the Lodge in the dark, our host stood in the rain giving him directions by phone. So massively appreciated after... More

I stayed there only for one day last month, at the very end of my vacation in Ethiopia. I was disappointed that I didn't know about this paradise resort soon enough. I would have spent most of my holiday here rather than in the heat and dust of Addis. Salayish has every thing what a man needs; tranquil atmosphere; beautiful... More

I went and stayed over at Salayish with my sister and a friend of ours to have somewhat a quiet time and also to celebrate my sister’s birthday. If one wants to stay away from the craziness of cities, Salaysih is the ideal place to be. The rooms are clean and have traditional touch. They are surrounded by different types... More

If you're looking for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Addis, Salayish fits the bill quite nicely. There are no distractions (tv, radio), allowing your attention to be drawn solely to the peaceful and serene setting of this conveniently located lodge. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a hut situated on top of a hill... More
