I enjoyed 6 days at Binna Burra last month, and had a wonderful time! The staff were ever helpful, from the front of house and catering teams, to the activity guides, grounds staff, and hotel crew. Well done!! Guests are made to feel like friends, whilst maintaining professional standards from the staff. Not an easy task. Wonderful environment, and the... More

We have stayed at the Sky lodges a twice (once before they were advertised as open and again in late 2012). The sky lodges are stunning. Chunky timber doors and features with a beautiful large slate-look bathroom and cosy, comfortable furniture give the rooms a feeling of warmth and make you feel relaxed as soon as you enter them. There... More

Hi, Phoebe C, and thank you for taking the time to share your experience staying in our beautiful Sky Lodges. We are certainly delighted with these amazing rooms, and their view back over the valleys are really stunning. I particularly enjoy the light that shines across the trees and hills just after sunrise. Also, thank you for your comments regarding... More

I wouldn't recommend eating at the lodge, unless you like canteen food. The restaurant is soooo pretty with amazing views, but they let themselves down with EXPENSIVE bad quality food, but a good place for a coffee/tea. Also if your gluten free you HAVE to ask the chef to cook something for you prior to dinner as all us GF... More

Hi. Thank you for your positive comments about the campsite. We ensure that the campground is cleaned and amenities block serviced every day, even on public holidays. I'm not really sure how to respond to your food comments. I was certainly taken aback by the throw-away remark about "week old, prodded salad leaves". I will simply say that none of... More

We stayed 2 nights in this lodge in the middle of the national park... The hotel is quite nice, even if bedrooms are small, the ambiance is very good! You share your dinner with other people... And you can do a lot of hikes directly from the lodge!!!

Thank you for posting about your visit. Binna Burra is fortunate to have one of the most extensive networks of graded bush walks in south-east Queensland with tracks ranging from 1 to 21 kms (42 kms if you walk to Green Mountains and back in a day). Make sure that you come and visit us again when you are next... More

We spent 3 nights here and loved everything about it - friendly staff, natural location in Lamington National park, plentiful food, organised wlaks and activities. A very relaxing place to get away from it all and do as litle or as much as you liked. Fantastic view over rainforest from the dining room.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your getaway with us. Yes, the views from the Clifftop Dining Room are fantastic. I personally love the sunsets that light up the western sky with vivid reds and golds. And thak you for your lovely comment about the "friendly staff". Another hotel manager visited us a fortnight ago and his professional opinion was that... More

Loved the location and tents were fun and clean giving a feeling of being part of the natural environment! Lovely staff especially kitchen and bar folks! Great walks, beautiful wildlife and birds!!! On arrival from Brisbane airport at 1:30 am with two tired kids in tow we were shocked to find no phone or welcome pack outside reception - we... More

Hi Geckoed. I was surprised at the comments in your post. It is definitely normal practice for us to leave a welcome pack, including a location map, outside Reception who late arrivals at the campsite. And there most definitely is a duty manager night phone next to the Reception door - just pick up the receiver and it dials the... More

We spent Easter 2013 at Binna Burra Lodge and absolutely loved every minute. After doing the day walk from Green Mountain to Binna Burra, we were not sure what to expect at the lodge but it was just what we needed. The whole weekend was relaxing with log fires and incredible sunsets. The staff were really friendly and the chef... More

Hi Madonna and thank you for your review. Easter was a great weekend up here on the mountain. It's hard to believe that there are hidden gems like Binna Burra so close to the glitter of the Gold Coast. I loved your photos and, yes, the heritage listed Lodge is meant to be rustic. We do have the Sky Lodges... More

Just spent Easter at Binna Burra Lodge and had a fantastic time. The serenity was unbelievable and the atmosphere superb. Waking up to the sounds of birdlife and the breakfast bell ringing was a great way to start each day. The excellent advice and information provided by the Lodge guides prior to our bush walks each day were spot on.... More

Thank you for making the time to share your experience of staying at Binna Burra. I think that you summed up nicely what it is that we do and why the Lodge is such a special place. We are currently staying in the safari tents which are riddled with mould and have not been replaced for 30 years. I specifically asked the staff on the phone re the replacement of the tents and was told they had all been replaced this year. How disappointing to find on arrival the tents were very old and horrible. We found... More

Hello David. I am sorry that we disappointed you, especially as I believe there was a miscommunication about the Safari Tents. If you read my reply from 10 March, you will read that I said the tents would be replaced this year, not that they had already been replaced. Like you, I am disappointed as I had wanted the first... Binna Burra is a beautiful place where nature surrounds you. It is a place where we go regularly to unwind. The resort has cabin style accommodation and can include meals. There is also a camping ground and a cafe for day trippers. The walks are in the rainforest and there are many species of flora and fauna. A great day,... More

Hi Maree and Andrew. Thank you taking the time to share your Binna Burra experience. I found your comments interesting because, while we offer adrenaline activities such as our flying fox and abseiling, I am seeing an increasing number of people who are recognising the need for tranquillity and the need to just slow down and unwind. I look forward... More
