My partner and I just got back from a week long vacation in Tulum where we stayed at Om for the whole time. I read reviews on the place before booking and fully expected it to be a bit rustic and "eco-chic," so we weren't at all put off by the concrete floors and slightly leaky thatch roof that a... More

There are a lot of hotels in Tulum, mostly all "eco-chic" and a bit rustic. This tends to add to the charm and beach-vibe of the area, but eco-chic and rustic don't have to mean shabby and dirty. Om was a disappointment. The room felt like it hadn't had a thorough clean or upgrade in a long time - yellowing... More

We stayed four nights in May 2014. Om is rustic in a way that's very typical of Tulum - so I won't comment on much of that here. I think young professionals, couples, and those who've stayed in hostels but want something a little nicer for this trip will be very comfortable here. We stayed in room number 7, and... More

We stayed at Om for two nights without having pre booked. The staff were very helpful with my enquiries and once we had seen the room and been given the rate we got a welcome drink while we filled in the paperwork. The room was comfortable and spacious and had two double beds. Little details like the blinds being a... More

We only spent 2 nights at Om Tulum and wished we could have stayed longer. The room had everything you need and the stuff from Om Tulum is absolutely cute, friendly and nice ! AC from 6 to 6. Beach is right in front. Their own restaurant is directly at the beach. It was a pleasure staying there! I would absolutely... More

My friend and I stayed at Om Tulum Hotel this weekend while in Tulum for a wedding. We had a lovely stay! We were in room #6, which has a view of the ocean, awesome thatch roof, bug nets in good shape and working a/c. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's a bit more rustic than some of... More

We stayed 4 nights in room #9. When staying in Tulum you expect some inconveniences such as spotty electricity, damp and bugs. No big deal - part of the experience. However, our room was not clean, the mosquito netting was stained and ripped, the pillows were lumpy, it was poorly lit and jammed in beside the restaurant and path to... More

If you want to experience the sounds of the waves lapping through the screens and only a fan and the ocean breeze to cool you at night, the OM Tulum is the place to stay. It's small and clean, has hammocks and gardens and lots of sand. The front part of the property is a popular beach front restaurant with... More

We happened on this property as we were driving down the Tulum beach road. We needed a place that would accept our cat and was reasonably priced. At first they weren't sure about our cat, but they said ok. Our unit was 2nd floor garden and it worked out great. Rachel the housekeeper loved our cat. All the staff was... More

I was pleasantly surprised after reading a few negative reviews of the hotel. Andreas at the front desk was cordial and allowed me to check in early. I was traveling with my pet - and can say that the hotel, including the entire staff were truly "pet friendly"... The beach club was perfect - quiet and serene - there was... More
