Never felt so unwelcomed in a place in my life. Went for the day and was assaulted by the guy collecting money for the chairs. Paid for the chair, sat my things down, and laid back in the sun. An hour later I sat up thinking how nice it would be to have a drink and had to stare and... More

Everything was great: the hotel managers, housekeeping, and security staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was immaculate and beds comfortable. There was also a nice breakfast included that you can eat on a little terrace that is in front of each room. The only things I did not really like was having to wear a bracelet whiile we... More

The rooms and location is ideal. A wonderful beautiful beach each year we return. All of the Riviera Maya is experiencing an invasion of seaweed that ruins enjoying the beach. The staff is very personal and helpful. We will return again.

We spent our days lazing on the beach which like the name of the hotel is paradise. The staff are really attentive and really care about their guests. The beach has a little beach bar which Is lower down which resembles a low key blue parrot bar really stunning and does the best mojitos. I would recommend this resort of... More

We were looking for quiet. A beautiful beach, A quaint town. We found two of the three Tulum is not quaint, it straddles the highway, but think 1970's in Baja. El Paraiso sits on a beautiful stretch of beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and air conditioned. There is satellite TV with HBO. There... More

First off, the location of El Paraiso Tulum is wonderful. We walked exactly 12 minutes (at a slow pace) to the side ( or is it back) entrance to the Tulum ruins. Also, if you walk down the beach a few minutes you can see some of the ruins right off of the beach/water ( you can't walk all the... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from a week in Tulum - we have been there before together as well as separately and between us have stayed in several properties along the beach. We booked at El Paraiso after learning that our previously booked hotel was sitting next to a noisy construction project (thank you Tripadvisor reviewers!). I had... More

The cash driver is the beach club, the rooms [10 only] are an add on. Rooms small but clean and comfortable with nice veranda but overlooking car park. Daunting list of rules and extra cost which is off-putting. Superb beach and sea. Do not bother with their bikes, they must be 15+ years old, never maintained. Better bikes available elsewhere.... My boyfriend and I chose El Paraiso for our Tulum vacation for a few reasons, mostly because it was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in the area for what it offers. Also hotel has electricity 24 hours a day, and each room has it's own private bathroom with regular plumbing. Our room had it's own porch that we... More

Located in one of the most beautiful spots of the mexican Caribbean, this place should be paradise. Unfortunately the service is really bad. They will charge you for everything. Towels to Internet. The food is not good and they have this attitude, like They don't really care if you come back. Lots of people go there since the entrance and... More
