Very nice hotel. We've stayed for 7 days - family with a toddler. It's simple, clean, quiet, all the needs are met - hot/warm water, electricity, simple breakfast, parking, security around the clock. Very nice, friendly service and feels very safe. Beach is also public access beach, so be there early enough. It was good for us though since our... More

It's a small quiet nice hotel with a large beach, the problem is they let anyone enter the beach and it is always so horribly crowded, a lot of uneducated people leaving their garbage and beer bottles behind them. Service is good, people are kind, restaurant is mediocre, rooms are ok... I would recommend a more private hotel but If... More

If - like us - you hate big resorts, you love quietness, you want to be by the beach, you find your entertainment out of the hotel, you can walk or drive to get a meal: this is a place for you. Super simple, not fancy, but still clean and 50 meters from water. Breakfast buffet that you take back... More

We stayed here for five days and can not say enough GOOD things about this place to fit in the review space. Located on the best beach in Tulum, the El Paraíso is the perfect locally owned small hotel to use as a base for your stay. The rooms are as shown, lots of high pressured HOT water, a/c, wifi,... After looking at other options, I went with El Paraíso mostly because of its closeness to Playa Paraíso and also because it had a good price for everything it offered. I requested cabin #1, the closest one to the beach, and even though they made no guarantees via email, when I got here it was mine. If you're looking for... More

After being rudely turned away in Tulum village by Posada del Sur, a friendly taxi driver brought us here (he couldn't go any further up the road as it was flooded, so perhaps it was fate that brought us here!) Sylvia is the very kind owner and showed us the decent, clean and beach front rooms. They are not facing... More

The wonderful beach would be enough to recommend the place but the hotel itself is good. Not the charming cottage in front of the sea but a pleasant resort with the main services and quite clean and well maintained rooms. The beach is just some minutes' walk away while the Ruins of Tulum and the taxis to reach the center... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at El Paraiso for 8 days during my Spring Break. It was everything I could have asked for, not a super-touristy resort, only 9 rooms to the hotel, and we had all the amenities we needed. The resort is right on the beach, and continental breakfast was included every morning. We also had free beach... More

What a beach! Sand was soft and beach was deep! Good one to stroll on! Walk north and you can see the ruins on the cliff. We stayed and had a drink and played on the beach. Facilities seemed minimal and there was construction going on at the cabanas. It was definitely a WOW moment. My only thought was that... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in February and payed $150 per night for a room with two small double beds, which is quite good value for the area. Although the rooms don't face the ocean you can see it from all the verandas. The rooms are basic but clean but there is no fridge and the air conditioning is... More
