I hesitate to write this five-star review, because I would like to keep this place a secret a bit longer. We stayed in Robinson Crusoe. We loved the entire experience and cannot wait to return. Food in the restaurant was fantastic, and I mean everything was delicious. We were there for the Wednesday night BBQ, which featured live music and... More

Gorgeous haven on the Tulum beach road, close to all the great restaurants and importantly has AC during the night. Good value for money and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The manager Edmunda is from Holland and she's fantastic - always around checking how people are doing. The particularly special thing is the food here. There;s a... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in Tulum. After 13 nights of All-Inclusive it too a couple of sleeps to acclimatise but we made it. The accommodation is spartan, unique and (Christopher Columbus room) right on the beach. The waves will certainly lull you to sleep. As long as you know what to expect I would highly recommend the... My husband, 11-year-old son and I spent ten blissful days in Captain Dale’s Quarters in June. From the moment we arrived, Cabanas La Luna and their charming staff exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The airport transfer arranged through the hotel was prompt and seeing our name on the sign upon exiting the airport was an indication of the... More

We've just returned from spending 4 nights and stayed in the Marco Polo room, which we loved. From the moment we arrived we knew we had found somewhere very special. La Luna is so beautifully designed, from the moment you come through the doors you feel as if you've stepped into a beach fairytale land, very romantic and so relaxing.... More

Tulum is so special. Cabanas La luna has some of the kindest, most humble and hardworking staff. I love them so much. This is my second time back to La Luna and I think its one of the very best cabanas to stay at. I have seen many along the beach. There is just something special, quaint, and charming about... More

As you drive south from Cancun along the Riviera Maya toward Tulum you can turn the clock back to a time when there were no distractions to bother you, no all inclusive wear a wrist band, eat yourself silly, Vegas at the beach - what Cancun itself was maybe 40-50 years ago. If you want to get away from all... More

Thank you for your review. Your title is a great way to explain the difference between Cancun and Tulum. You are right, we do frequently welcome couples and families, but all guests are welcome at Cabanas La Luna. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and had the opportunity to explore the incredible cenotes. We hope to welcome... More

Everyone in this hotel was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was exceptional. We stayed in the Garden Suite (two adults and one child). The A/C was very much appreciated at night. The Garden Suite was very spacious with a very large patio with couches and an hammock. The only down side is... More

Thank you for your kind review. We it when we hear of guests planning their return. When you come to La Luna, you become a part of our family and we wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you for your tips on Garden Suite. The A/C definitely helps in the summer months. As for the kitchen noises, we will... More

We just returned from our honeymoon and are counting the days until we can return. We didn't start out that way, however. My new husband and I are not the most experienced travelers and we were a little trepidacious (and strung out from a wedding) at first. But the staff at La Luna were so genuine and accommodating, we soon... More

These cabanas are just delightful! Situated just 20 metres from the beach, they will make sure you to unwind and relax while listening to the waves crash close-by. We stayed in the Robinson Crusoe room, which has all the basic amenities you need. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience the local area had... More
