We left Boston in 20 degree brrrrr-ness, and arrived via Jet Blue non-stop flight in Mexico's 80+ degree aahhhh mazing sunny warmth. Walking out of the terminal in Cancun and seeing the flora and breezy palm trees will never get old. Ice cold beverage and then hooking up with our amazing private ride (via Tucankin) to take us down the... More

What an amazing place! We had our wedding at Cabanas La Luna in early December and hosted our family and friends for about one week. The setting is gorgeous and the beach is much more private than the majority of other hotel's beach areas. The location is excellent for walks/runs on the beach. The hotel rooms are all wonderful and... More

Charmed by the name and stellar reviews, we came here by recommendation via taxi after a day at the ruins. We did not want to leave and inquired about availability (they were out). We wish we had come here to stay for our honeymoon. The cabanas are adorable and right on the beach. We ate at the restaurant looking over... More

If I describe La Luna as low key and unpretentious, please do not read it as a euphemism for uncomfortably rustic. We stayed here for a few days of luxury and chill time after a road trip through the mountains of Mexico. Our bed was the most comfortable I'd slept in for the whole trip; the staff couldn't have been... More

How did it take me this long to write a review??? This place was absolutely wonderful! My family, consisting of me, my husband and two kids under 5 stayed in the Zanzibar Villa. We were also there with another family with an infant. The villa was perfect. The only thing I would say is one of the reasons we got... More

What a wonderful place! This was our first time, and from the minute you walk in you can feel the beautiful energy at La Luna. We loved villa Zanzibar, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay a fantastic one. Thank you La Luna, we are looking forward to our next visit. Also, best beach around... More

We are avid travelers and don't typically return to a place we have visited. But La Luna is the exception and we've vacationed there now four times over six or seven years. What draws us back? One is the property itself. Just a few cabanas, each super unique, colorful, simple, somewhat rustic- but not uncared for. The staff upgrades aspects... More

My wife and I and our 2 kids (4 and 9) spent a great time here. Amazing view, great food, staff, and hotel. I would go back for sure! Location is perfect and if you rent a car (or take taxis) you can go to the many cenotes in Tulum and Chi Cha Nitza an hour and a half away.

Just got back from a week in Tulum. Because I booked a little late for the week of Christmas we had to stay in two places. Our first was Cabanas La Luna. We liked the hotel/Cabanas. It's small and quaint. The people who work there are very nice and helpful. Mostly we loved Oscar. He worked the dining and beach... More
