I surprised my husband with a trip to Tulum to celebrate our anniversary...after lots of research (since we had not been to Tulum before), I decided on Teetotum, and we both could not have been happier. Tulum itself is a laid-back, no frills kind of place...so if you are looking for shi-shi 5-star resorts and restaurants, go elsewhere, but if... more

My wife and I and another couple stayed at the Teetotum hotel for three nights this June. The hotel is located about 5 minutes by car from the beach. After the staff explained to us that all of the beach hotels allow day access, it was very easy to spend as much time as you like at the beach but... more

This is a hidden gem just off of interstate 307 on the road to Coba whick is just minutes from the beatiful beaches of Tulum and the Mayan Ruins of the same name. In total 90 minutes from the Cancun Airport and 45 minutes from Playa Del Carmen. Here are my top ten reasons for staying at this small trendy... more

My husband and I just returned from Mexico and Belize. Teetotum and Tulum was our first stop! It is a great location between the beach and town. We did not rent a car, but easily walked to town for dinner and shopping every night. It is also on the road to the beach so for a few dollars or about... more

My husband and I visited Teetotum Hotel this past May during the swine flu scare craziness and loved it! By the way, there is NO swine flu in Quintana Roo, you must go there NOW! There are great deals to be had, and the lovely people of Tulum need your business! We met Teresa, the Irish lady who helps run... more

Its simple chic. Very comfortable, super clean rooms with king size beds and ac. The staff was friendly and the locals that hang out there gave us some great tips on what to do while we were there. Unfortunately the ruins were closed because of the flu scare. We decided to go down to Tulum when we heard about all... more

We stayed at Teetotum our first couple of nights in Tulum before decamping to a beach resort. It was a great introduction. Candice made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of helpful advice. Richard was a fantastic host. The restaurant served terrific breakfasts (my husband thought the huevos rancheros were the best he'd ever had), and our room... more

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was very small and more of a B&B feel to it. The rooms were decorated perfectly for my tastes: minimal and modern. They even provide an iPod dock and free wi-fi! A continental type breakfast is complimentary (very delicious and pretty, too!) and served until 3 pm--I really appreciated that. I hate having to... more

We was stay there just for 3 night and was enough to recognize the place like one of the more strategic hotel in Tulum (specially for trip to chichen itza, cenotes, valladolid, etc without forget the beach), with bike included just beetwen the town and the beach, nice price, very nice staff and friendly owners. Oh! and really nice restaurant... more

I stayed a week at Teetotum hotel and couldn't have had a better time. I was in Tulum by myself and found the hotel to not only be a great place to come back to after long days on the beach or riding a bike, but also a nice place to meet people. The restaurant always had friendly tourists and... more
