The most amazing B&B for a perfect paradise stay. Lou & Mari made us feel so welcome. This was our first time to Mexico & we stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our 7 day trip. We both had an amazing Mayan clay massage on site arranged by Mari & also their 5 course dinner which was... More

We are a family of 4 (2 kids 9 and 12) and we had a great time a La Selva Mariposa. We spent 5 days overthere, enjoying every single day. First of all the owners are great, very helpful, just making sure that you have ALL what you need to make your day the best possible one. They know the... More

We spent 7 nights at LSM for our honeymoon and we had a great time. The rooms were beautiful, the breakfasts were amazing, and the hosts were great. Every morning at breakfast, Mari and Lou would ask us our plans for the day. They offered many suggestions for the best places to eat, places to go, and things to see.... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review about your honeymoon stay at LSM. I know you must have many thank you notes to write and we appreciate you taking the time to tell other travelers about your stay. We are pleased you mentioned the meticulous job our staff does to prepare the rooms each day. All of us... More

My wife and I spent 5 great nights here. And they went by much too fast. We expected to arrive there by 9pm. However, due to thunderstorms in Houston, we didn't arrive there until nearly midnight. Not knowing what to expect, we were happy that Lou came out to greet us and show us our room. We stayed in suite... More

We are glad to have provided the wonderful Mayan Clay and the aloe vera leaves to relieve your terrible sun burn and sun poisoning. We share these with all our guests. Your review was very flattering, thanks so much. More

We spent five fabulous nights at La Selva Mariposa. Everything was spectacular. Moe and Lou went out of their way to teach us about the local flora and fauna, take us on special tours of the property, and help us with the "must sees" of the area. The breakfasts were wonderful and we had a special dinner that was soooo... More

We stayed with Lou and Mari for just two nights. We booked with them because we were looking for something a little "different" than a beach-resort to break-up our 10-day vacation. We absolutely loved it!! It was perfect and exactly what we were hoping it would be. Lou and Mari really go out of their way to make you feel... More

You did enjoy an awful lot of the extras like the Mayan clay massage and romantic candle-light dinner next to the Chichen Itza fountain for such a short stay. It is so exciting when we can win over the beach/dive crowd, even if it is only for a short stay. We do have hair dryers, but they are only passed... More

My husband and I spent 5 wonderful nights in this jungle retreat. Everything is put together to maintain and enhance the natural environment from all the lush beautiful plants, water features, small private swimming pools, hammocks on the walking paths and by the water to the casitas and the comedore. The attention to detail of the grounds and the rooms... More

Thanks for your complimentary letter and I am glad you mentioned the value of observing on the jungle paths that surround LSM and in the rooms. It is what we do best, and a wonderful way to share the wonders of nature with you. More

From the moment you walk onto the grounds you're in an other place. Everything surrounding you puts you into a relaxing mood, everything is spot on, clean, tasteful and inviting. The sounds (birds, waterfalls), the sights and the personal touches in the structures, in the vegetation are a invitation to enjoy. Do not hesitate, leave the noisy crowded all-inclusive, and... My girlfriend and I stayed at Selva Mariposa at the onset of our Tulum vacation and it was fantastic. The flora, the huts, the water features are all so elegantly constructed, we could spend hours just enjoying ourselves on the grounds. Lou and Moe were great hosts, extremely welcoming and offering many suggestions for daily trips, tours, and excursions. I... More

This was by far one of my favorite tropical accommodations over years of international travel, beloved by both myself and my 11 year old son. The rooms were artistically decorated, the hosts unobtrusive yet caring. The property felt safe, magical, and very serene. Mari and Louis were a dream, just as other people have mentioned. Take the time to toss... More

Love your title. Thanks for mentioning so many things that are unique about LSM. We are able to turn down or turn off the waterfall if the sound of cascading water keeps you from sleeping. Everyone is so different when it comes to sleep quality. We just wish you had mentioned it to us during your stay. Do come back,... More
