A wonderful place to visit and relax. Moe and Lou were great hosts, they were knowledgeable and helpful. They gave great tips and directions, and also made the best breakfasts ever. The rooms were beautiful and Mayan inspired. The rooms were comfy and clean. We were lulled to sleep every night by the sounds of waterfalls. The grounds were inspiring... more

Within the walls of this intimate jungle paradise is an amazing complex of small casitas, each individually styled and decorated, each with a private pool and every modern convenience and comfort. The gracious hosts provide privacy, but are available for amiable and accurate tips on what to see and do, when to arrive to beat the crowds, and best bets... more

I heard Tulum was a great vacation destination so I started looking for Bed and Breakfasts for our honeymoon and La Selva Mariposa was the highest rated of them all, and we soon found out for good reason. They were super helpful throughout the planning process. They advised us on currency, available food, entertainment, gas, driving, finding their place, etc.... more

I discovered La Selva Mariposa on tripadvisor when I was planning our trip to Playa and Tulum in October. SO GLAD I DID! We stayed here 3 nights and wish it could have been 3 months. If you can- GO! My review will not do this unique and fantastic place justice. It is a fabulous escape that is exotic and... more

This reveiw is waaay overdue, but it's taken us almost a month to get used to being back in the 'real world' after our amazing honeymoon in Tulum! My husband and I spent 5 days at La Selva Mariposa and we couldn't have been more pleased! We spent the first part of our trip at a hotel on the beach,... more

We were tucked away at La Selva Mariposa for 2 wonderful days! Room was comfortable, with great attention to detail. As you look up from the master bedroom there are 2 glass skylights perfectly placed so light gently shines in. The Master Suite has a seperate living room, 3 sinks, refrigerator and plenty of space and room to relax! There... more

My wife and I spent 8 days here for our honeymoon, and loved it. We stayed in suite 4, which had its own building and private pool and air conditioning. La Selva Mariposa is definitely a great place to spend with your spouse / family. Moe and Lou have built a very natural, peaceful getaway that still has all the... more

La Selva Mariposa was designed and built by the owners and hosts, Lou and Mari (aka Moe). They are originally from Colorado but thanks to their adventurous spirits, love of people, artistry, and excellent cooking, the traveler to the Riviera Maya can get out of the noise and hustle of the beach scene and relax in the luxury of this... more
