As clear by previous reviewers, it is a real hit and miss hotel. We took an earlier reviewers advice and paid the extra money for a 'suite', which, was pretty rough by 'suite' standards, but, for the money, (70 USD a night) we were happy, fantastic view direct out onto the beautiful beach. So, the unfinished surfaces, towels with stains,... More

I have probably spent over 4,000 - 5,000 nights in hotel rooms spread over 300-400 hotels world-wide in the past 40+ years, and the Parayso in Tulum, Mexico is at the very bottom of my list. Although it has a lovely (small) sandy beach on the Caribbean it has no a/c, they turn the electricity off for the night so... More

wonderful Tulum experience. This is our second visit to Parayso, our first since there incredible renovation. Both times I have stayed with my teenage daughter and her friend and felt safe and welcome. We had a second floor room with a beach balcony. Of course the girls took the beds and left me with the sleeper sofa but no worries... More

We did not splurge for AC anywhere, and suffered for it. The room was enough, but no windows and we had to make do with fans. But, the hotel itself is gorgeous, awesome beach, nice little bar (but don't pay for drinks- 100peso margaritas no way). Didn't try the tacos, we opted to go for cheap and delicious in town.... More

I went down to Tulum recently with my sister for a night from Playa del Camen. We didn't know were we were gonna stay prior to arriving. We thought perhaps a hostel in the Pueblo because we were travelling on a budget. We saw this place online and it had rooms on the beach for like 500 pesos a night... More

You must stop by for the tacos and drinks! We seriously came here every afternoon for tacos and drinks, then later in the evening to chill. I'd recommend the fish and pepper pork tacos. They have a great bar with salsas, sauces and moles. Their piña colada is one of the best I've had. Very fresh and not too sweet.... More

I can't speak to the rooms because I stayed at a different place, but the hotel bar was great. Once we discovered this gem we returned for tacos and drinks everyday there after. Cheap tacos (although they are sometimes out of certain ones) and great tunes kept us feeling great. Hans is the man and Eduardo and the rest of... More

Room was dirt cheap, clean, big and beachfront. Even has 3 beds, but we only needed 1. The rooms have absolutely no A/C, just a fan. As long as those are your only needs, then you will have no complaints.

Well pretty much what I expected after reading the reviews on here. The Parayso hotel is situated on a beautiful stretch of white beach, the staff are friendly enough albeit their English is not that great & it is reasonably cheap for it's location. The hotel has a pretty cool beach bar where I had many a chilled out chat... More

Parayso is a wonderful gem of a place in the heart of Tulum Beach. Amazing staff, spacious and clean rooms and balcony overlooking the water…. it doesn't get much better. There is no "Glam" to these rooms, but the Glam of Tulum is in the water and the beach, not meant to be in your bathroom. There is a great... More
