I've stayed in several places in Tulum and I spent six weeks doing some budget traveling all over the Yucatan. This may have been the worst place I stayed in the entire time. No, the second worst. But still. The worst for the price. I even paid low-season prices so I have no idea how I would feel if I'd... More

The room was nice and the hotel was on the beach, and in a central location. Most important the people were awesome. They truly took good care of us. The hotel was gated with a full time security guard. The manager recommended a great little day trip to a lagoon that turned out to be one of the high lights... More

Please do not waste your money, there are tons of nicer places. This was a shoddy place where the price did not reflect the hotel We're travelling and have stayed in some grotty places but we walked out without even staying a night. There was excrement by the pool, the pool looked filthy and the beach had piles of seaweed... More

I saw all the reviews for this place before booking and was very concerned, but I booked it anyway because it was the only place on the beach within our budget. As it happens, we were delightfully surprised and ended up staying an extra night, and wishing we'd stayed an additional night after that rather than heading up to Playa... More

Omg, this hotel just took the price. Me and a friend booked a few nights in a the most expensive rooms right on the beach and we did the booking at the hotel's own website a few days before our arrival. We got there really late in the evening and the surroundings were pitch black so we were glad we... More

This review is a culmination of four stays at Parayso over six years. As a family of four, we have traveled extensively through Central America and Southeast Asia (kids 7 & 10. We have stayed in all different types of accommodations - from dirt floored shacks to high end resorts. I have no problem giving a $20 a night hut... More

We booked online a Maya Cottage (Per website description: 2 beds + open balcony). When we arrived, they gave us a small room (no balcony, just one bed). After 30 minutes discussing with the manager- they were trying to convince us that was the room we had booked- they moved us to a room with similar descriptions to the one... More

First I would like to start by saying that I'm a world traveler . I have stayed in cabanas with no electricity to relais chateaux to 5 star hotels. I know tulum Boca Paila very well and I chose this place because it was near the places I wanted to eat and visit and it seemed to fit my needs.... More

Based on previous reviews we were very apprehensive to stay here. Happy to report, it was great! It is not dangerous, the staff is friendly and the rooms (hotel part) are nice. I could see complaints about the bungalows because they're smaller and not conducive to recieving the ocean breeze (Nature's AC). The pool was a little slimy, but when... More

This hotel is AWFUL. Do not stay here. We originally booked a cabana which faces the pool instead of the beach. Before we even checked in, the lady tried to upsell us to the room with the "beach view." Upon stepping into the concrete jail cell of a cabana with absolutely no air flow that was at least 25 degrees... More
