Honestly do not stay here. It is the worst place. If you want giant roaches, red ants, way to many mosquitoes, an unpleasant/rude staff and no sense of peace or safety then stay here. It's the kind of place that does a bait and switch. At first you look at the room and think that its a quaint place. It's... more

The Good: 1. Friendly staff. 2. Very spacious and cute rooms/Nice architecture. 3. Great location on the Playa next to a Mini Super, car/bike/scooter rentals, dive shops, and restaurants. Everything we needed within a couple of blocks radius. 4. Rooms were kept very tidy. The Bad and the Ugly: 1. Nocturnal red ants invade your room at night. We found... more

The hotel says 24hr electricity but really means just lights. It says they have internet but you cannot charge computer. Not knowing I did charge my computer then they snuck in my room when we went for breakfast and plugged up the electrical outlet with putty instead of telling me their add is misleading and you can't use electricity. Your... more

While the rooms were well decorated and the beach was nice (though small), the staff was terrible and the "garden" rooms were literally on the road. All we heard all day and night was trucks and cars. It sounded like I was staying at a truck stop. Also, there are no curains for most of the windows, and with a... more

We research about Mexico before our visit and we didn't want to go to Cancun instead more private and relax place. One our friend recommended Tulum to us. Nevertheless, we first reserved garden room. Once we arrived and found out that there is large wired screens wrapping the main door and you can easly see inside the room! We did... more

Stayed at this hotel for three nights with my boyfriend, two nights in the room "Titanic" and one night in "Sol" (we didn't have a reservation in advance and when we arrived, Titanic was only available for two nights so we had to change the room during our stay). Both of the rooms are facing the beach & ocean but... more

The hotel is very cute but if I were you I would stay elsewhere. 1. First of all it is impossible to get a good night sleep. It is so noisy: - A road cuts the hotel in 2. The "normal rooms" do all open on this road. - 4 of the rooms called bungalows are not real bungalows. They... more

There are so many cabanas down at the beach, all of them are pretty expensive for what you get (but that's Tulum, I guess...). Posada del sol is, in our opinion, overpriced but is obviously still the cheapest alternative for that kind of standard and if you want to stay at the beach. We paid 800 pesos for the oceanfront... more

Arrived in Tulum looking for a hotel, saw a few cabanas/bungalows & then arrived at the Posada del Sol. The hotel front is a Mexican arts shop & only a small sign gives it away. There are a few parking places in front of the hotel - no parking all along the Zona Hotelera road. The woman at the shop... more
