My wife and I stayed at the Posada Lamar for ten days as we celebrated our one year anniversary. We have seen the Lamar the last couple of years when we traveled to Tulum, and my wife picked this hotel to spend our one year anniversary. The Posada Lamar is on a beautiful part of Tulum beach, and it is... More

We stayed at this funky little hotel for four nights in the middle of June and we were so pleased that we did. After looking around on the day we arrived we finally settled on Posada Lamar. I loved the quirky and antique decor! It was cozy, clean, and small with only a few cabins, which we prefer over the... More

My husband, mother and I traveled here in May and we had a wonderful experience. We stayed for 3 nights in cabanas Zafira and Marfil and wish it could have been longer. From the beginning of our stay we were greeted warmly by Adriana, at the front desk, who already knew our names. Adriana had communicated with me in advance... More

the place comes under the so-called eco-chic initiative, one must know what that means before booking. it looks great, you are right on one of mexico's most beautiful beach but there is a but. electricity won't come until 7PM which i can take. but there's only one plug in our "cabana". I was sick and forced to have several trips... More

This was our third visit to Posada Lamar. We stayed in Zafiro on the beach. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are warm and helpful, but otherwise unobtrusive. We loved lying on our hammock right on the beach and feeling the cool ocean breeze. There really is no better location, or more relaxing spot to unplug and unwind. There... More

We stayed at Posada Lamar, Cristal Bungalow, for 6 days and 5 nights. As has been previously mentioned on these forums, this isn't a luxury resort. If you want that sort of thing, go pay $$$$ a night at one of the many mega resorts. I am sure you will have a fantastic time with your TV and air conditioning.... More

Posada Lamar is a wonderful place to unplug. We are so looking forward to our next visit and cannot wait to wake up to the welcoming blue sea, white sand beach and delightful breakfast on the patio; from this place we plan the day (most often hours of well deserved relaxing nothingness.) The staff at Posada Lamar make the stay... More

We loved Posada Lamar! We stayed there for 6 nights with our two daughters and everything was perfect: from the wonderful beach, to the six beautifully decorated cabanas that are very spacious (ours, Crystal, had two floors) and all of them have a patio or terrace where you can hang out and have the wonderful fresh breakfast served every morning....
