Posada Lamar is located about 10mins drive from the Pueblo, the town center. The beach is semi-private. Most others on the beach are staying at one hotel or another on it, but of course others come. We were there in late June/early July...the beach was drowning in seaweed and the ocean was the regular blue (not turquoise as we'd hoped),... More

We just got back from our 2nd trip to Posada Lamar. The room, staff, beach, breakfast..all of it is just wonderful. Both times were just so lovely and they really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I have recommended Posada to at least 30 people for good reason. Adriana and Lolo are beyond wonderful. We stayed in... More

I stayed recently at Posada Lamar with a friend for a quick spur-of-the-moment trip, and our experience was positive overall. The hotel is right on the beach and there are ample loungers, chairs, day beds, etc. for the size of the hotel. There's even a nice set of tables, chairs and and outdoor sofa in the shade, too. There's a... More

We stayed at the Pasada Lamar for a few days during a cavern/cave diving trip in June 2015. The resort can best be described as an Eco resort and we were on location during the hot/rainy season. You should expect the breezes to flow through the room even with some rain. Also, given the thatched roofing there was always water... More

I just returned from a 4 night stay in Posada Lamar and can only say positive reviews!! We stayed in Marfil. Marfil was amazing! We had our own little patio and it was very private. The breakfast every morning was amazing and it was so relaxing to sit on our own little private patio and listen to the ocean. The... More

We returned to Posada Lamar, this time staying in Marfil, then back to Zafiro (our favorite). Great breezes in Zafiro, decent in Marfil. Love having a little patio to call our own for breakfast and afternoon lazy time. They took great care of the beach, and getting food and drinks at Coralina next door is easy. The bed in Zafiro... We love coming to Tulum and staying in this cozy small hotel. We either get Marisol or Esmerelda for our cabana. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful, fresh fruit, yogurt with granola, great coffee and orange juice along with homemade bread- yum! They are now providing guests with a cooler, so you can fill with beer and ice. Only... More

Our family of 4 (with two teenagers -16 year old boy and 18 year old girl) stayed in Bungalow Cristal for 7 nights. Each morning we were presented with a beautiful breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, and coffee that we enjoyed on our patio. Our beds were made with clean, soft sheets every morning. We were provided with plenty... More

We have just spent 6 days at Posada Lamar. The hotel is not only a paradise, with a gorgeous beach, wonderful cabañas but also the people that work there are amazing! Adriana and Flavio are fantastic persons! Always asking if you needed something, provided coolers with ice and excellent tips for tourism in Tulum. We would definitely come back!

I stayed in bungalow Cristal with my sister for 5 nights. The bungalow is amazing, beautiful, tastefully decorated and with attention to details. Just a couple of things: there is no mirror in the bathroom ( difficult for a man to shave or a lady to do her stuff) and no curtains to some of the windows, so expect light... More
