Great time on the beach side huts with balcony. Waking up on the beach is amazing and would recommend to anyone. The restaurant on the beach is great for drinks. The rooms had wifi next to restaurant so I had no problem connecting to the outside world

Absolutely loved our stay here, so much so we stayed longer than planned. Stripped back it allowed us to really appreciate life, nature and each other. Our cabana was great - not cheap but cute and quirky and everything we wanted, perfect location directly overlooking the sea with own bathroom etc. It allowed a true escape from busy city working... Not Eco friendly. Prays on those seeking an authentic experience.. Shacks banged together with absolutely no amenities. No service. No electricity or Airconditioning. Alienating, while pretending to bring people together. Masquerading as a hippie sheik venue, but actually a down and dirty money grab. Don't be fooled. Go elsewhere. A pretentious dishonest ripoff.

This hotel is AMAZING!! It has everything and more. If u wanna get a taste of heaven, this is the place! Imagine the most luxury place in a open nature, this place made me feel like a glamourus hippie, the combination is so unique. The private beach, the restaurant, the cocktails, the party's, the atmosphere, the cabanas, everything was perfect.... More

Horrible experience, the security of the hotel asked me if I was a guest at that hotel multiple times because I was the only latino at the hotel, everyone else was white! One of the worst experiences.

We first went to the Papaya Playa Project (PPP) for a yoga class, taught by Jhiwan, whose playfulness and great sense of humor beautifully complement his deep knowledge of yoga and breathing techniques. The yoga studio needs a new floor, but I understand that work will be done soon. The yoga class was so good we returned several times, starting... More

Cool beach, good food, kite surfing!! Drinks, great music! If you are planing to stay here or just come for a day it's really cool for couples or group of friends ) They have cabanas where you can stay and a spa (planning to try it just now) Order their guacamole and totopos, it's really good and filling.

I spent 34 nights at Papaya Playa Project and loved every minute of it. The sunrises are incredible, the beach is peaceful. The staff was really nice and extremely helpful. The amenities are just what you need, when you need them. They have a pretty good selection of books in different languages you can borrow from the front desk. I... More

I and my wife stayed in PPP for 3 nights at end of July. We found an offer for a small room, but with a/c. Actually the room was very small. But for a few nights it was quite ok. It's eco-friendly hotel, with some consequences. The water is salty. It's purified, clean, but salty from the see. You can... More

Papaya Playa is awesome for a few days chilling out. Downfalls: restaurant is overpriced and food is not authentic (better to eat in town), cheaper rooms are not great for price - if you can upgrade your room, the bathroom in our cabana was basically unusable for the time we were there. We mentioned this to reception and they 'cleaned'... More
