A verity of rooms to choose from -cabins, witch felt like hotel in the jungle and more luxury rooms. the hotel own a 1 km of white sand clean beach, beds on the front water line, really good restaurant, pools are scattered around the cost line...great atmosphere! The hotel is part of a design project hotels and you can really... More

Never been to a hotel like this, we booked the double queen cabana with no AC, no wifi, no TV pretty much the basics the bed covered with mosquito nets and and bathroom. I liked the charm of the place but my husband didn't like it. He complained about the shower feels like salt water. I like how when your... More

I felt taken advantage of. We booked this hotel because it's a part of the German Design Hotels Group, and we liked their hotels. But the Papaya Playa Project is a far cry from the higher-end hotels that belong to that group. We were given a cabana with a strong smell of mold, so we immediately asked to be moved.... More

I chose to stay at Papaya Playa Project for my 8 night solo vacation. I had stayed once before on a quick two night stay with my sister a few years back. I scored a great deal on Jetsetter for a small cabana with a view of the ocean, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. I arrived after 1am and... More

PPP definitely stands out from the other resorts on the Tulum strip. It caters to a younger demographic, has a DJ spinning at its restaurant (playing minimal house music) many times and has a good crowd. I stayed at the Ocean View cabana for one night. It was definitely on the pricier end for what you get. ~100$ for a... More

I have never stayed at the Papaya Playa Project because the place it's basically a joke. For a fraction of their rates you can find much better options to stay in Tulum (and with very much beautiful beaches). But I went once to their Beach Club just to spend a day at the beach, relaxing, trying to understand what's the... More

Sometimes you just need to get away from the craziness of the City. The Papaya Playa Project offered the perfect escape. At first we were a little nervous about leaving the T.V and Computer behind, but who needs those things when you can wake up to a view of the clearest ocean water in the World (My Opinion). We first... More

What a fun experience, I call this glamping or glamourise camping, very relaxed laid back feel, our room was very clean, bed was fabulously comfortable, the style was warm minimalist very calming and serene , special views from our room and an outside bath. Right on the beach with the water steps away , day beds with shade on the... More

Out of season in Sept 14 we experienced fantastic weather, wonderful staff, great hospitality and the perfect time! This is not a typical hotel, its a place to feel at home. And the team at Papaya does a lot to make it possible for you. From great and calm relaxation to one of the best parties ever - after two... More

My girlfriend and I decided to go to a place were we can relax with nature in front of the see. We couldn´t choice a better option. It is by far the best hotel in Tulum. I highly recommend the rooms that are meters away to the see, this way when you wake up, first think you see and hear... More
