Very clean, perfect location, great prices for high end and low end stays. Showers, fans, everything you need even a place for Internet The staff are friendly and can give you tips for places to check out during your stay. I had an awesome time there and would go back again for sure!

This incredibly charming property is such an authentic Mexican experience! It is THE best place to stay in Tulum Mexico, in our opinion. Here's why: 2 blocks to town, 5 minute drive to beaches and the Mayan ruins. The accommodations are lovely, clean, and tastefully appointed, but also so incredibly affordable, leaving you the cash to spend on fine dining,... More

First place we stayed in when we got to Mexico from Belize and we were so happy the first place we walked into was full so we found this place. Unbelievably helpful and freindly man who worked there was such a bonus. He even washed up all our dirty dishes when I left the kitchen for five minutes. Made me... More

Stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The first night was spent in one of the dorm rooms as there were no available cabañas to begin with. The dorm is basic but is well equipped with fans (although a couple were broken) and a private bathroom. On our second day we moved into a small cabaña which was... More

Thatched roofed cabanas in a beautiful shady garden....truly tranquil, and very reasonable rates...Owners and staff were also very friendly and helpful, use of computer and tv. in the common space as well as a book exchange library and breakfast every morning (hope you like pancakes!) Bikes were also available to rent but they were in pretty bad shape, barely rideable.

A bit of a walk south, this place is lovely, the owners friendly and gardens beautiful. The cabins are cool and quirky, with mosquito nets; quite small but there is a wonderful communal area with books, games and a great kitchen. Wifi is also good. Speak flawless English (and even the Spanish is spoken so thoughtfully that it's easy to... More

I stayed here for four nights, having reserved a small cabana in advance and sent half of the amount due via PayPal. In fact, after the payment was sent, they informed me that the first night only a dorm was available. This misunderstanding was due to the e-mail correspondence of the staff whose English was limited and could not clearly... More

We stayed two nights at Rancho Tranquilo and were very satisfied. We are a family of three with a third grade son who found the hostel experience to be enjoyable, in that he got to talk with a lot of other guests. Like Trip Advisor indicates, we found it to be a very good value. It is a hostel, don't... More

Nice place close to all the action. The wifi wasn't working. Old mate did our washing for us for relatively cheap and rented us a couple of bikes for 50p a day. All in all a nice place to stay except for the rooster that crows at all hours of the night and day. Lucky I was awake all night... More

We've been there 2 nights with my boyfriend. The place is really nice, the pancakes (breakfast included) are good and the staff very nice even though the owner can be a little "direct". The garden is amazing, you feel like in a little jungle. Enjoy the hamacs but put repelent!!! Mosquitos love the place as well.
