After 3 wonderful days on Holbox island we arrived at the Jade Hotel. As there was no one there and the hotel seemed abandoned we drove back out of the property hoping to find a place that looked like what we have seen on the internet... It must have been a charming hotel once - but it seems that since... more

We stayed at jade this month for almost a week and after reading reviews I was very excited to stay there. We were in the jungle nest and found it to be very dismal inside the cabin. Yes, you do have privacy since you are separated from the other cabins, but the room was tired, stained curtains, had a moldy... more

We stayed at Jade for 3 nights Jan 4-7 2008. It was a holiday season so we paid $200 a night. We think that it was way over priced, and that left us with a bitter taste. We came with our 1.5 year old daughter. Jade didn't supply a crib for the baby, so we had to bring our own... more

My husband suprised me with three extra days of vacation at Jade. I had read some of the reviews and was a little nervous. I was really impressed with this hotel. It is absolutely beautiful. Juan and Martha are such a nice couple. They really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They would make coffee in... more

My family and I stayed with Juan and Martha for four days in the middle of a two-week trip to Mexico and Belize. Our stay at Jade was the most enjoyable part of our two-week adventure. This is a perfect setting for those that are interested in a quiet, peaceful, and magical vacation. This is going to sound redundant after... more

Juan & Martha were the quintessiantial definition of hospitable. They welcomed us upon our arrival, offered us a glass of wine or beer and shared wonderful stories. Their dog, Chili, welcomed our 18 year old daughter and kept her well entertained with cathcing coconuts, water shoes and sticks. They even shared a few meals together. I wish we had more... more

The location is excellent. Tulum is fairly quiet and the beach in front of Jade is spectacular. We greatly enjoyed the layout of Jade and appreciated the retention of existing plants and trees. Placing the rooms on stilts really allows guests to experience the best of the beach (views and breeze) and environment of the jungle. Juan and Martha are... more

The beach is outstanding, soft white powder sand that never gets hot, gentle ocean breezes and warm turquiose waters. I normally get bored with beaches after a couple hours but I was reluctant to leave this one and many days I didn't. The cabanas are amazing. Simple, charming, clean, they are perched amongst the trees 25 feet above the sand... more

We would definitely return to Jade Tulum. It's beautiful without being glitzy or touristy. Juan and Martha are very pleasant, welcoming hosts, and very laid back. We admired their committment to maintaining the ecological and ethnic integrity of Tulum - things like bringing in water rather than using wells that damage the local flora, or urging us to visit the... more

We booked Jade at the last moment based on reviewes in this site and were not disappointed Yes, the rooms are not sealed shut, (and therefore we could easily sweep the sand on the floor through the floorboard cracks). Yes, a few mosquitos flew in, but the nets were protective and we did not see a single cockaroach (as former... more
