We visited Tulum for a few nights and found Don Diego's to be the perfect spot for my husband and I. It was one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed in. It feels like you are in the jungle. The food was fantastic and the rooms were spotless. We were so happy to be able to chat with the... More

My husband & I were charmed by this hotel, the incredible staff, and the cuisine! Because it's not a luxury property, and is not on the beach, it's not perfect for everyone. It was a perfect fit for us, and so I compiled this list to help describe the pro/con of DDDLS. The best place to stay in Tulum, considering:... More

We spent 3 nights at Don Diego in December and had a delightful stay. Our room was very simple, with no TV or fancy furniture. We did opt for air conditioning and a balcony. The hotel amenities are lovely. We enjoyed the pool area, and the grounds. The staff was terrific, including Charlie (one of the owners), Sabrina, Edgar and... More

This small hotel is charming with a restaurant that provides world class cuisine. Even if you choose to not to stay at this hotel, you should pay its restaurant a visit .The property is quaint with luscious gardens and a small pool. I was well aware that I would be staying in a bungalow with a fan...which was charming and... More

The place gives off a cruisey beach house vibe (even though the beach is a bit of a hike). I came with my parents and brother, we are all more into the activities side of Tulum so we didn't mind that the place is relatively basic; this is NOT like the mega-resorts that line the highways. The staff were all... More

Nice and relaxing atmosphere to this place when you walk in. The room is set up very well with a hammock, chair and large bed. Service was great, gave us a map of the area, tips on places to go and got us in our room quickly. Shower was hot every time, wifi in room was generally good, bed was... More

My wife and I stayed around the corner at Luz Tulum condo but ate here many times....and every time the food was fresh and well prepared. Being consistent is a key to a good restaurant...great Mediterranean salad...shrimp and fish...great breakfast in the morning too. Service and staff are great....

What a wonderful surprise! This boutique hotel is located in central Tulum close to restaurants and shops, but far enough away such that all you hear are the birds above your cabana. We stayed in #9, which was detached from the other rooms, and featured an indoor and outdoor hammock and plenty of space for two people. Don Diego serves... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The cabana we stayed in was cute and fun, plus there were bee hives around the property that made the honey served at breakfast. Very fun! The room was clean and comfortable. There was no AC, but the ceiling fan worked fine. My only complaint about cleanliness was ants. They weren't too bad, and they... More

the place is not so easy to find, a bit on the outskirts of tulum, but in a beautiful Tropical garden with mayan bees and chickens. the Restaurant is great, really good Food in a quiet ambiance. the room is spacious, but simple. we had a hammock with view over the trees on the first floor, which was Special, and...
