Look, we didn't end up staying here, because the rooms for 3 people were booked. We had a problem with booking.com. They were not very helpful. However, Charles Galligani was a WONDERFUL problem solver who listened, was extremely attentive and provided the BEST customer service we have experienced in 10 months in Mexico by refunding our deposit, in cash, having... We don't enjoy touristy places or large resorts and while Tulum is full of them, Don Diego has managed to create the anti-resort. Instead you feel like you're in a small, luxury hotel tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The gardens are stunning, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is very laid back, while still attending to your... More

My husband and I stayed here for the first half of our trip to Tulum. We had an amazing time, the location was convenient to town, the room and pool were totally relaxing and the staff was quite helpful. They gave us great recommendations. We were a bit worried about the plumbing when we first got there, there had been... More

Wow, what a great stay. Super clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, beautiful garden, attentive but not annoying staff. One of our three days at the hotel, we did not leave till dinner time, just lounged around the pool. Even the nearby beach could not get us out of this little piece of paradise. If I were to return to Tulum, I... More

The grounds are lovely and the owners were gracious. Good location and off the main road so it was quiet. Beautiful pool, clean quaint rooms, private, great service, delicious breakfast (included!). Can't wait to go back!

Me and two girls stayed at this hotel for a night and we were really pleased with its value and quality. It had a tranquil garden atmosphere and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend it to others who plan to stay at Tulum.

Honestly, this place had great reviews but since it was rates #18th for Tulum area hotels, it was a second or third choice on my list. With that said, I did go into staying here with high hopes. The reviews felt good. A friend was with me along for the experience. This place did not disappoint in any way. The... More

We stayed at Don Diego with our two children aged 19 months and 3. The hotel has a lovely pool area which was only used by a few other guests so felt almost like a private pool. The rooms are a very good size, clean and have huge glass doors out to private balcony area with hammock, great for chilling... More

We stayed here three nights in a Junior Suite. The room was quite comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are like a tropical garden. The restaurant serves wonderful dinners. We really enjoyed this little oasis and will definitely return. It was an easy walk from the bus station to the hotel.

Not on the beach, but we knew that and prefer to be away from the crowds. Good restaurants in town a short distance away. Rooms, clean, comfortable and we had a semi-private patio. Service was fine. Hot and cold food for included breakfast. Appreciated the acceptance of credit cards.
