Comfortable hotel 5 minute walk from main strip and short inexpensive taxi ride to Mayan ruins. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, with safe and air conditioning. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers. The Captains Table restaurant serves good reasonable priced food and has a happy hour each day. Would recommend.

The facilities at the hotel include a nice swimming pool, working Wifi, pool table and onsite bar and restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient and the service is very quick. Fish is on the menu here and is cooked perfectly but watch out for a lot of garlic if you order garlic! It is possible to walk to the Tulum... More

Tulum is a beautiful city to visit and I was proud to call Villa Tulum home for the two days we were there. The grounds are tidy and well maintained (that pool is pristine), the staff are pleasant and helpful and the rooms were perfectly adequate for sightseers (and special mention for the fantastic air conditioning). Our group was thrilled... More

Air con was fantastic! Rooms were spacious and clean. Room was serviced each day to a great standard. Wifi not being available in the rooms and location were the only issues I had. Takes quite a while to walk to the beach but you can rent a bike to get to places quicker. Pool was nice and so were the... More

Villa Tulum is situated further away from the main city centre not that that is a problem as the hotel as its own restaurant and there is a supermarket across the road. I thought our stay was good but nothing spectacular. The rooms were very tidy and they were well air conditioned- the bathrooms maybe a little small. The wifi... More

Spent 2 nights has wifi close to town and beaches with nice pool. No TV but that's not a problem the beds are comfortable and can hire bikes with nice restaurant. Overall average but comfortable. Sorry if that's not helpful but I would stay again.

This is a sweet little hotel, as others mentioned it is on the way to the ruins and about a 15 minute walk into town. The rooms were good and clean, air con was great and appreciated! Pool area was nice after a hot day visiting the ruins

The Villa Tulum is quite a decent hotel in the budget travel category. It's a favorite of 'adventure' tour groups. The hotel is on the highway between the town and the beach, across from a Walmart-like superstore. Taxi fare to the beach and the Maya ruins is 70-90 pesos. Many guests rent bicycles and make the trip under their own... More

The rooms were neat but very basic. The hotel is in a great location with a big supermarket across the road that sells just about anything. The hotel rented bikes that looked a bit rusted but you can ride down the road to the beach and you are also not too far from the mayan ruins. The pool area was... More

Overall this is a clean and basic hotel. There is local woodwork in the rooms, but it is very basic. The beds were comfortable, there was air conditioning and a large window which was nice. The bathroom was very cramped and small. The location was nice because it was between town and the beach, which you could easily reach both... More
