It's not for everyone. It's halfway between the backpacking hippie compound and a 5 star all inclusive. You can still book your favorite 5 star spot but you have to spend an afternoon or an evening or a night or all of the above here. Go see their facebook page for great photos taken from guests (including me) First time... More

If you are in Tulum, you gotta stay here!! You cannot go wrong. The beach cottages were $150/night when I was there, but were sooooo worth it. Finally getting around writing review. We went in Nov 2013. If i go again and i probably will to Tulum, I will definitely stay here again (and I am usually the explorer type... More

Perfect in every way! Nice friendly people (Patricia and Griselda to mention a few), clean and well kept, great food! The beach is amazing, walking distance to the ruins, sunbeds and delicious breakfast included. The Italian name is proven by the food, in fact their Italian food is better than their mexican (which still is great)

My husband and I were staying in Playa del Carmen where it's easy to find a beach with food and space. We were surprised at how hard it was to find this in Tulum until a nice cab driver drove us here. It's nothing fancy, which we liked! You walk in through the front desk and some of the bungalows... We went there for a lunch on the beach. it was busy and we asked the waiter for a table and were promised to get the table in 30 minutes. Several headaches later and over two hours of waiting we finally got the table by arranging it ourselves. They were running out of food and couldn't offer full menu. If... More

nice position, nice room in front of a nice and wild beach; good food restaurant service pretty slow and not nice; there wash t hot water, too expensive for what it gives (212$ per night for a garden view room)

We stayed at a bungalow on the beach at La Vita e Bella for two nights and loved it. The bungalows are clean -- a little tight -- but who is going to stay indoors anyway? Splurge and get a bungalow on the beach, it's worth falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing at your doorstep. The hotel... More

We've stayed at La Vita e Bella twice now and it always feels like we are re-living our honeymoon, despite having gone to the Maldives for our actual honeymoon! This place is one of the best places to come to relax, unwind, enjoy the best part of the coastline - rivalling the Maldives if not better in many respects, and... More

We went here years ago and I guess it had just changed ownership. It was the first place we came to in Tulum and we spent $60 on a cab to get there from Playa. We were very disappointed for several reasons. I was encouraged by a friend and local to go back last week. (Restaurant) We wanted to take... More

The ridiculous expectations I had for Tulum were all realized with our stay at Vita e Bella being the perfect base for our explorations and a lot of wonderful utterly relaxing time lying on the beach. Our bungalow was on the beach (impossibly soft, white sand and gemlike warm waters), not fancy but neat, comfortable and embellished every afternoon with... More
