We stayed at a bungalow on the beach at La Vita e Bella for two nights and loved it. The bungalows are clean -- a little tight -- but who is going to stay indoors anyway? Splurge and get a bungalow on the beach, it's worth falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing at your doorstep. The hotel... More

We've stayed at La Vita e Bella twice now and it always feels like we are re-living our honeymoon, despite having gone to the Maldives for our actual honeymoon! This place is one of the best places to come to relax, unwind, enjoy the best part of the coastline - rivalling the Maldives if not better in many respects, and... More

We went here years ago and I guess it had just changed ownership. It was the first place we came to in Tulum and we spent $60 on a cab to get there from Playa. We were very disappointed for several reasons. I was encouraged by a friend and local to go back last week. (Restaurant) We wanted to take... More

The ridiculous expectations I had for Tulum were all realized with our stay at Vita e Bella being the perfect base for our explorations and a lot of wonderful utterly relaxing time lying on the beach. Our bungalow was on the beach (impossibly soft, white sand and gemlike warm waters), not fancy but neat, comfortable and embellished every afternoon with... More

Love this hotel! They are located on a beautiful beach that is not very crowded. The restaurant is good and the view is incredible. They also have hammocks for a lot of the rooms, which we love! The staff is super helpful and friendly. One even recommended a newly opened Cenote SacAtun which was not crowded at all and extremely... More

What an amazing place!? We were a little reticent to try a non-traditional hotel (Italian owners), but they were incredible, and so respectful of their Mexican location, culture, and feel. Add to this, the most incredible Italian food options, and the crystal waters just meters from our door, and we couldn't be happier. Most of the patrons were multiple visitors... More

Great location but the bungalows would need a good makeover, the food was bellow average as well as the drinks. My cocktails were flooded in water and we didn't finish out homemade pizza (I'm not a cook but am sure I could make better pizza if I tried). Breakfasts were a disappointment too. Staff saved the day: very positive people,... More

It's a nice place. Nice beach, nice food. There are very friendly staff and others not so nice. But it have the hungriest mosquitoes I ever seen. After 17:30 it is mandatory to be in the bungalow, under the mosquito net in order to avoid been devoured.

My partner and I recently stayed a week at La Vita e Bella and cannot recommend it highly enough! We stayed in a palapa that looked directly onto the beach and the gorgeous sea beyond. We spent delightful hours in the hammock on our porch when we weren't in the 82 degree (farenheit) water. I snorkeled out to the reef... More
