If you want to be very well taken care of and given great advice about how to get around and what to see and when, this little bit of heaven is the place to stay.Being close to the forest, you wake up with wonderful bird song. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, including full internet connection. Every recommendation for... More

Robert was an incredible host, who really went above and beyond and made every effort to ensure I was comfortable. Villa ZenaLiza is about a 10 minute walk from the main road in Tulum. The grounds are charming and very well maintained, with a beautiful garden, a small pool and shared courtyard. I stayed in the Suite Isabella for 3... More

I visited Villa ZenaLiza in early April 2013 and found it to be a welcoming, extremely comfortable, beautiful facility. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the owner, Robert, who treated me like a king. The highlight of my visit was a full body massage that was out of this world. It was the single best massage I have ever... More

After a lovely stay in Palya Del Carmen, we took a cab south to Tulum. The area is less developed and has a more authentic, comfortable feeling. We were encouraged to stay at a relatively new Hacienda style B and B about 10 minutes from the beach. It was beautiful, quiet and ours- like having your own secret retreat in... More

Away from the tourist crowds in a local neighborhood to the south of town, Villa ZenaLiza is infused by the gentle spirits of Robert, the owner, and Raff, his housekeeper. The house in comfortable and well built, with lots of touches by local artisans. Ask Raff to make you a fruit smoothie for breakfast. Or, you can have yogurt, granola... More

Just a short walk to the main street of Tulum, the owner directed us to the best local, authentice cafes. A... More

ZenaLiza is located adjacent to the Luna Elena in a quiet neighborhood of Tulum. I stayed here with my husband for only one night in June. I was sorry that I hadn't found out about it sooner or would have stayed at least a week. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're part of the community... More

ZenaLiza is a clean newly constructed quiet retreat in a jungley neighborhood. Sitting on a second floor balcony looking out over the treetops and listening to the many birds is tranquil and comfortable. The buildings are beautifully detailed and landscaped. The secure premises are within walking distance of restaurants. Tiled bathroom, clean linens, comfortable beds with reading lights, air conditioning... More

Finally! Comfort and value in Tulum! Over tha past 20 years I have stayed in Tulum just over a handful of times. I find the hotels on the beach charge a premium for rustic accommodations and many hotels in town more affordable at the price of comfort or cleanliness. Zenaliza is an excellent providing beautiful spotless rooms and all the... More
