I attended bikini bootcamp last spring (2007) and I had a wonderful experience. I didn't think to write a review at the time, but I came to tripadvisor with thoughts of attending again, and I wanted to share how awesome the week was for me and my friends! I visited in March and during my stay I slept nine sound... more

I went to Bikini Boot Camp last week, and really had a wonderful experience. I have to admit that some reviews made me nervous before I left, and now I would say that I'm just a little bit puzzled by the negative reviews. I thought the food was wonderful, and I loved my room. Yes, the windows are open and... more

I just got back from an unbelievably wonderful week at Amansala . It was everything I'd hoped for and more, and my college-age daughter and I both had a fantastic time. We had signed up for the bikini boot camp because we love beautiful beaches, wanted some bonding time with each other, a chance to get back in shape, re-charge... more

Amansala was possibly one of the best experiences of my life. It was just what the doctor ordered. If you are looking for a cleansing experience that not only physically but mentally challenges you...this is the place to go. To step away from the day to day stresses we all have, and wake up to sunrises, great yoga, delicous meals,... more

I have just got back from a fantastic week at Amansala. The setting was beautiful with little cabanas right on the beach. The staff were all great, very helpful and good fun to be with. The daily early morning beach walks and yoga were combined with different activities such as circuit training, bike rides, kayaking, belly dancing, swiiming in a... more

Let me start by saying that if you are used to Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton accommodations, this is not the place for you. I am inclined to be opinionated and judgmental, so I am just going to provide some data points and let you decide for yourself. The food is primarily fish, fruits and vegetables. It was flavorful, fresh... more

I enjoyed Amansala but for one problem: the last day, six girls got extremely sick-- diarrea and vomiting. This was Spring 2007, and I didn't post about it then because Melissa said it was "something in the air" and that people from other resorts also got sick. But the exercise instructor told me that the same thing had happened the... more

I just returned from a fantastic week of new experiences, re-balancing, rejuvenation and meeting new friends. I left with the "Amansala glow". The food is fresh and delicious. The daily morning walks are addicting as is the sun, beach, ocean at your doorstep. I am so excited to start eating healthy and adding yoga to my exercise routine. There is... more

This place, like others I inspected in the region, is trading off the eco label. This is not an eco resort by any stretch of the imagination (e.g., plastic plates are used for breakfast and lunch, no recylcing bins, cabanas built of concrete with thatched grass roofs--a well known UNACCEPTABLE eco resort design standard). There are clear evidences of environmental... more

My trip to Amansala was fun and the week went by quickly. Most of the “boot campers” were women but we did have some couples. Like most trips the vacation was fun because of the other guests and some of the staff. I went with a group of women, but there were many women on their own. The accommodations were... more
