We stayed at La Zebra for four nights in late April and were very pleased with our experience. We've already recommended this hotel to friends, so overall I would give it a thumbs-up, but here are a few of the pros and (very minor) cons: Pros: The location is perfect: a clean, postcard-worthy beach and just the right amount of... The room: My boyfriend and I stayed in cabana #3 for 6 nights the last week of April and it was wonderful! We were greeted with a couple drinks upon our arrival and there was a welcome bottle of tequila in our room. The cabana is a bit small, but there is a place to hang your clothes with about... More

My wife and I stayed with friends at La Zebra last week. Relative to other cabana-type lodging, La Zebra seems to be on the high end - both price and accomodations. Here are some of the highlights/lowlights: The grounds - beautiful beach location and interesting sculptures place around, but there was a lot of small litter (e.g. bits of plastic)... More

We stayed at La Zebra for a week, from April 20-27th for our honeymoon. First let me say that Tulum is THE perfect honeymoon spot, because there are not a lot of big hotels, the beach is beautiful and often empty on many parts, and the town of Tulum itself was very friendly and welcoming. When we got to La... More

The setting is beautiful and the rooms are nice but the staff and the management are terribly disorganized. While contacting them during the booking process they took their sweet time getting back to us with the answers to our questions claiming that communications in this part of Mexico are unreliable. However, when we got there the WiFi internet connection at... More

We stayed for 4 nights at La Zebra in April in 2 different rooms. Let me first say that we absolutely loved Tulum and will definitely return to this area because of the amazing beach and laid back ambiance. Overall, La Zebra was good, but not great although we did not go with any very great expecations so we were... More

I'm really torn in writing this review. We stayed 4 nights in February in Cabana #2 right on the beach. The setting is amazingly beautiful, stepping out your door onto the beach and into the ocean is heavenly and the salsa dancing night was fabulous! However, I think the term rustic can mean a lot of different things to different... More

We could not have enjoyed our stay at La Zebra more. Tulum is wonderful, and we cruised the beach and sampled the food and atmosphere at many other places up and down Tulum's beachfront. La Zebra, with it's private cabanas, wonderful food, generous and helpful staff, and KILLER mojitos w/ fresh cane sugar was spot-on for what we were looking... More

I am a beach snob and the beach at La Zebra Tulum is the best beach I've seen. The sand is soft and clean and white, the water is a gorgeous blue, there is a nice group of palms to provide shade and it is NOT CROWDED!!! If you are looking for a get-away, this is the place to go.... More

We just got back from a trip to Tulum. We spent the first 2 nights at La Zebra and then went to Playa del Carmen to meet family. We have two small children and stayed in cabana #6. La Zebra is beautiful and a great place to chill. We loved it. We did feel a little loud with kids there... More
