This was the eighth and last hotel I stay in during a two week tour of Mexico. We were tired and in need of some rest after a long two weeks. This hotel took our breath away. White sand, turquoise sea, hammocks, white-washed houses, clean and large comfy rooms. All the houses I saw overlooked the sea, the bathrooms were... more

Good location and large, if simple rooms. End of the positive comments. Almost no one speaks English. Restaurant food is inedible -- and there is a lot of fabulous food in Tulum, which makes Los Lirios even more shameful. No hot water in the afternoon -- every day, and in my friends' rooms as well -- and reception proclaims surprise... more

Every hotel in Tulum is expensive, this seemed to be a bit more affordable...Los Lirios is one of a few with 24 hr electricity which was a plus. The hotel room was big and clean - the porch with hammock was great for relaxing between the beach and outings. The staff stayed out of our hair unless we needed them.... more

Here's the latest on Los Lirios. For those who don't know the Mayan Riviera and Tulum, its about 90 miles south of the airport at Cancun. The drive is fine, we suggest you rent a car instead of the shuttles or a taxi; the round trip by taxi is 70 to 100 bucks a person, shuttles are similar, you can... more

We stayed at Los Lirios in February/March 2009 for 14 nights. The hotel was ok, although I would say it is over-priced. We were 3 persons who shared the double deluxe beach front room which was very roomy and a had very nice view of beach. It also had a hammock at the porch which was nice. However, there was... more

My husband and I were married in Tulum in July 2008. It was difficult in Tulum to negotiate rooms for our family and friends who were coming for our destination wedding. Many hotels in Tulum ask that you book every room in the hotel, for a min of 5 nights and offer NO discount. It was very frustrating for us... more

My sister and I stayed in a cabana in October 2007. The staff are wonderful. They make you feel at home. The cabanas were nice, so close to the beach, which you don't have to leave because they will bring you drinks. The food was so fresh and delicious. The drinks were good, we enjoyed a bit of tequila. The... more

I stayed here in November 2007 and heading back down April 12th 2008. This will be my 3rd time staying here. I can't understand all the fuss and bad reviews. We travel all the time especially to the Yucantan (12th) trip and this is by far the best deal on Tulum beach. You have electricity, amazing beach front, moderm rooms/bathrooms... more

Our original plan was to base out of Playa del Carmen 3 days. After 2 noisy days in Playa (street carnival) we wanted a change. Thus Los Lirios. We were lucky to have found a really good travel agent , Mike Kummer, Solatino Travel agency on 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen who recommended this hotel. We were going to... more

Two friends and I ended up at Los Lirios after a long search for a hotel room in Tulum Beach--apparently not a place that you can easily find a room at the last minute. Admittedly, we had the worst room in the place (and the last room on the entire beach)--a tiny room in the basement, with no windows and... more
