A friend of mine raved about Maya Tulum, calling it "Maya Tuwomb" because it made her feel happy and safe. Maybe the bar was set too high, but I definitely did not leave with this same impression. Pros: 1) Excellent yoga teachers. Sem was demanding, Alessandra & Tania were classic flow teachers & Victor brought about new experiences 2) Great... More

In my adult life, I have not had a vacation that has provided me with such a sense of rest and relief. From the minute we were picked up from the airport, our vacation was perfect. Our driver Ulysees made the two hour drive fun and memorable. The rooms were beautiful, and our cabana was right on the beach. The... More

I just returned from a yoga retreat at Maya Tulum. The ocean front cabana was wonderful. Feeling the warm breezes at night along with the sounds of the waves was memorable. The resort is so peaceful and well maintained. The food was clean, healthy, and delicious. The staff was very friendly. Keep in mind that this resort is located between... More

The facility is luxurious and the setting is amazing. I felt like it was a true vacation that I had always fantasized about. The food was incredible with plentiful local fruits and veggies. Great variety as well. This was a hosted yoga vacation with my yoga community and having two yoga classes a day was a rare treat. Also the... More

Beautiful property. My room right on the beach was breathtaking. Watching the sun rise each morning made the retreat that much more special. The staff was very attentive. The food was very fresh, but we found ourselves wanting more protein. Lovely!

A "Mind-Body-Spirit" package at Maya Tulum is indeed good for body and soul. The yoga classes are excellent, and although most of the participants are fairly experienced, it's not all yoga teachers and ultra-serious practitioners, just regular folks. Aside from the yoga classes, there are well-designed tours to local caves, cenotes (sinkholes), and Mayan ruins. Renting a bike is a... More

We love walking along the beach in Tulum, and were looking for a spot to rest and eat lunch. We stopped at Maya Tulum's restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the menu. My mother had the beet root salad which she loved; my aunt had the fish tacos which she also really enjoyed. I had the vegetarian tacos which were... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Maya Tulum for the second time. As before it was so peaceful and lovely. The food is honestly amazing and the service is warm and so very gracious. Sadly we had to leave a few days early as I came down with the flu and could not tolerate sleeping in the heat... More

This February, my boyfriend and I took our first trip to Tulum and weren't sure what to expect. A friend had recommended Maya Tulum, but based on what I had read online, I had expected it to be very barebones (especially since it's recommended that you bring your own beach towels). But when we pulled up, I was instantly impressed!... More
