The hotel was beautiful and relaxing. I stayed there for one day and loved it, the guy at the front desk was helpful. My room smelled a little funny but it was cause of the mounds of seaweed that washed up shore. The property was well maintained and there are lots of restaurants and other hotels nearby to walk to.... More

The ambiance, design and decor of accommodation are great. So is food that is fresh, creative and delicious. Unfortunately we arrived when the level of algae plaguing Carribean is at highest level. Manager of the resort was very accommodating and professional since we needed to change the place. We will be back once situation with seaweed improves since also Yoga... More

I have stayed at Maya Tulum MANY times - once for an entire month - and it is never long enough! Professional and courteous staff, outstanding comfortable rooms, great yoga and AMAZING food put this resort at the top of my Mexican 'go to' list!

Good 1. The resort was very quiet. I never really saw other guests walking around, children playing, etc. As someone who isn't looking for "night life," I found MT's environment calm, peaceful and tranquil. 2. Every meal was paired with water and a freshly squeezed juice. As a fruit-lover, I couldn't wait to see what juice I'd be trying. My... More

We are happy to hear you had a peaceful visit at Maya Tulum. Our fresh fruit juices are a favorite of many. Maya Tulum kitchen staff prepares fresh juices daily from mango to papaya, watermelon, pineapple as well as hibiscus and ginger teas. The kitchen cuts up a variety of fruit each morning as well, to serve with homemade granola... More

The staff are wonderful, the meals and restaurant are excellent, and the spa is fabulous. Really liked the yoga classes, as well. Very knowledgeable and experienced. I wouldn't go in July again with the rooms not having air conditioning.

We did not stay at this hotel, but I wish we had. My wife and I took yoga classes here twice on two different days. There were thatched adobe type huts, right on the beach. Good classes, both were able to adapt to all levels - I was experienced but out of practice and my spouse is new to Yoga.... More

Pros: cute bungalows, amazing space and beach front length compared to all the squished together resorts, wonderful staff, pretty good restaurant, great yoga hall and instructors Cons: seaweed infestation is worst on this part of the beach so the beachfront is unswimmable completely (other resorts in south can remove enough to get in the water), no AC, no pool, bugs... Glad you liked the bungalows, some call them “palapas” as they are constructed by locals in the traditional Mayan fashion with very roofs of native palm fronds. The big yoga hall is a particularly striking example and lovely to look up at while laying on a the mat. Our location is the best. The advantage of being one of the... More

I stayed at Maya Tulum for 4 days and was happy with the nice staff, delicious fresh food, and clean rooms. I wouldn't be upset about the seaweed problem if I knew to expect it, but when I specifically asked the resort about the seaweed I was told the resort has men cleaning the beaches daily and that there is no... Thank you for the nice comments about our staff, food and rooms, we are so glad to hear your feedback as everyone works very hard to make your experience enjoyable. We appreciate your attitude regarding the Sargassum seaweed and we’re sorry our communication to you wasn’t ideal. The Sargassum seaweed affects the entire coast and of course it is a... More

I LOVE THIS PLACE. No need for shoes from the time you arrive until the time you leave unless you go for a bike ride. Fantastic staff, superior spa treatments, great yoga teachers, wonderful environment. Not a place for a high-maintenance traveler who must have a hair dryer and AC -- but there's really no need for those things here.

My friend and I had a great time here!. The room was very nice, private with a great view of the ocean (and it was only a partial oceanview room), it was so nice to go to sleep hearing the sound of the ocean waves. The grounds are kept up well and it's quiet and peaceful. Had a great massage!... More
