Beautiful, serene setting, healing Mayan spa treatments and a staff you won't find anywhere else! Schedule treatments when you first arrive as they get booked. We didn't have an oceanfront room, but we could still hear the ocean at night. Beautiful sunrises and starry nights. This is a magical place!

The seaweed smell is no joke. Yes, they are subject to the whims of mother nature and yes, the resort is trying very hard to correct it by picking it up and taking it away. But if this is the one vacation that you have, you do not want to suffer with this smell. Go somewhere else and come back... More

My friend and I stayed here for one week on the Mind Body Spirit (MBS) package, which includes twice daily yoga, two spa treatments, all meals and two half-day excursions. Overall, we enjoyed it though there are a few downsides worth mentioning: 1. The MBS package advertises that it includes two spa treatments and you can choose from most of... More

My partner and I have returned to Maya Tulum 5 years in a row. It is an extraordinary place, whatever your tastes: the mix of yoga, swimming in a sheltered bay, mayan massages and an attentive, thoughtful staff. The food is astonishingly varied and excellent. Plus all the excursions within easy reach: to Sian Kaan, a most remarkable Mayan wetland;... More

We had a good time but every night out sheets had stains on them, wifi isn't that great and service is lackluster. The spa is quite lovely and the juice menu is good while the rest of the menu is boring and not that tasty. We had a bug infestation while we were there. It's in a great location but... More

The rooms are decent and yoga was good, but there seemed to be an open sewage leak nearby and the beach was filled with rotting seaweed and garbage. Many resort guests including most in our party got sick with a terrible stomach virus. Food was mediocre. Service just ok. Definitely would not go back and do not recommend.

This was my third visit in the past 2 years... I first read of this place in the context of the yoga retreats that are regularly held here and I had been intending to come for a decade... I booked the best accommodation that they offer: A small beach front bungalow. It was January. It cost around $300/night. For this... More

Beautiful beach was right outside my door. Simple, clean accommodation, nice restaurant with excellent buffet (pescatarian/vegetarian dishes). Everyone was friendly and helpful. Do not pass up the massage! I don't revisit places I've stayed but I plan to come back here. Wifi in restaurant & lobby, free. No tv.

The spa treatments were wonderful - the Mayan Clay and Mayan specialty treatments in particular. The cabanas on the ocean were relaxing until the sea got rough. But staff took care of our every need. I highly recommend this resort for anyone needing a getaway but NOT a 5 star experience!

We did 3 treatments each, any of which should have been sublime. However, all throughout them, we were serenaded by the grinding of gears, the revving of engines and the blast of car radios from the busy thoroughfare a mere 30 meters away. A large nearby speed bump ensured that every vehicle slowed and then revved again to accelerate on... More
