We were looking for a place to stay 2 nights spontaneously at the Playa Maya in Tulum. After looking at several hotels, already the first impression of the Piedra Escondida was great, as we got a very warm welcome at the reception. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Dejanira (reception) and Marcelo (?) (Barkeeper/Restaurant). Our room above... More

Manager Dejanira is super kind, super helpful, super guide and looks super in uniform :-) Can't wait to go there again. Nice view to the ocean. Good food and good drinks. Don't miss the sunrise in the morning.

The hotel is beautiful. You have your own private beach, also beautiful. The manager is very helpful and the staffs at the restaurant are very nice. The rooms are big and comfortable, cleaning excellent and new beach towels every day. Very good beds. Its is right on the “beach promenade”.

I stayed here in January 2015. I stayed in A3, a second floor room. Overall, the place was very nice and the price was very reasonable. They even offered me a last minute discount. The room was large and clean. There was a sitting area which was nice. Although it was an oceanfront room, the room didn't have large enough... More

Oh how I miss the Piedra Escondida! After a week in this treaure of a spot I can say "No more all inclusive resorts for my family!" From the moment we stepped out of our taxi onto their sand strewn drive, I was in love with this gem of a spot. As we entered the quaint local main house and... More

My boyfriend and I were here just last week and LOVED it. We had room #4 which was the best, we woke up to the ocean, went to sleep with it, it was amazing. The place is special with a great atmosphere and its own private little cove. The restaurant isn't the best in Tulum but they do provide breakfast... More

We stayed in their most expensive room, which was quite big, nicely furnished and had air conditioning at night. There was also a small balcony with a hammock that we could use, but we preferred the lounges at the beach. The location right at the beach is really nice, however it is worth mentioning that there is lots of seagrass,... More

We came to this hotel for our last three nights after travelling around Yucatan for 13 days and driving 2000 km. The reservation has been done via our travel agency. This was the best hotel we had. The nicest location, directly on its private small cosy beach. The hotel rooms are in two separate buildings, each has 4 very comfortable... More

We stayed for three days in this small (8 rooms) hotel. Rooms where spacious and clean and the hotel itself is beautifully build. The biggest plus is the location: its secluded beach with hammocks and palmtrees is next to the road, but you will feel in paradise when you walk past the entrance. Staff is friendly and very helpfull (if... More
