Some friends and I stumbled upon Piedra Escondida looking for some place to eat. All four of us ordered different dinners and all agreed it was one of the best meals we had ever had. Great scenery and service as well. Hoping to stay in one of their cabanas on my next trip!

This restaurant was the best! The staff and owner were great! The food was awesome! It was a bit cold the night we dined there and we started off outside on the patio deck, we tried to move closer to the restaurant, but it was still cool, and moved again to inside the restaurant. No complaining from the staff, just... More

Amid all the monster hotels and hoopla of the Cancun to Tulum area, this lovely little hotel right on the beach in a low key area was priceless! Private little curve of white sand beach, lovely rooms, great food, and on a Friday night they had a good live band.... from Argentina no less! Managed tyo find a corner for... More

Traveled to Mexico for the first time for a family vacation to escape this long, cold, New England winter. I now embarrassingly admit I was against traveling to Mexico. I was worried it would not be safe. I was completely wrong! We had a wonderful experience! We never felt like we were not safe. We walked around, left our property... More

Stayed for three nights. Found the facility to be quite well kept. No issues with sea water/fresh water in the taps. The AC on in the middle of the night only was not *the best* as I like to head to bed at 9-9:30...and the AC only comes on after 10:00 Not a huge issue though. The food and the... More

We were looking for a place to stay 2 nights spontaneously at the Playa Maya in Tulum. After looking at several hotels, already the first impression of the Piedra Escondida was great, as we got a very warm welcome at the reception. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Dejanira (reception) and Marcelo (?) (Barkeeper/Restaurant). Our room above... More

Manager Dejanira is super kind, super helpful, super guide and looks super in uniform :-) Can't wait to go there again. Nice view to the ocean. Good food and good drinks. Don't miss the sunrise in the morning.

The hotel is beautiful. You have your own private beach, also beautiful. The manager is very helpful and the staffs at the restaurant are very nice. The rooms are big and comfortable, cleaning excellent and new beach towels every day. Very good beds. Its is right on the “beach promenade”.

I stayed here in January 2015. I stayed in A3, a second floor room. Overall, the place was very nice and the price was very reasonable. They even offered me a last minute discount. The room was large and clean. There was a sitting area which was nice. Although it was an oceanfront room, the room didn't have large enough... More

Oh how I miss the Piedra Escondida! After a week in this treaure of a spot I can say "No more all inclusive resorts for my family!" From the moment we stepped out of our taxi onto their sand strewn drive, I was in love with this gem of a spot. As we entered the quaint local main house and... More
