Our family was having a gorgeous stroll, south along the beach from the Tulum ruins, when we came upon this club. I figured it to be another place with mediocre food at gringo prices. HOW WRONG I WAS! All of our dishes were very good, ( some of the best shrimp quesidillas that I have ever tasted ) portions were... More

The location is wonderful, most beautiful beach I have ever seen (better than Tahiti, Bali, ...). Hotel is at walking distance to the ruins, which is convenient. However, services are so poor and staff so unfriendly that the atmosphere is not as good as it could be in such a place. For instance, you must pay more to get towels,... More

We spent a day at the beach club. The beach is beautiful and daybeds for 150 pesos a great place to spend a lazy beach day. The service is slow, however, and the food terrible and expensive. The burger was tasteless, the fries cold and the Cesar salad consisted of THREE salad leaves. They also charge for each time you... More

I took my family on a vacation to Playa Del Carmen and ended stay four days here instead. We received a tip from a local because we did not like the rough waters for our sons at our beach front hotel. My sons are 7, 4, and 2 at the time. I could not get over the beauty of this... More

We traveled with a large group of friends from our rental house in Akumal down to Tulum to check out the beaches and found Cabanas Paraiso. We parked in the large parking lot near the highway and took notice of the sign that said "No Coolers". I knew it would be a beach with bar service so I left my... More

Just returned from a 6-night stay at the Paraiso and highly recommend it. As others have noted, the beach is beyond spectacular. i found the room very clean and the bed very comfortable, and i am pretty picky about this. it is not artistic like some of the cabanas down the beach—just plain, functional rooms—but it had 2 huge pluses... We stayed 4 days at Hotel El Paraiso Tulum, located at a marvellous beach but the rooms have the view on the parking lot. Looks like any motel in America. The staff is not available after 19:00, we were left alone with a Columbian partying gang. Compared to the other cabanas next door it is completely overpriced, in our case... More

The beach here is gorgeous. We rented a bed and table/chairs for 150 pesos for a relaxing afternoon. The waitstaff was timely and friendly but the food was horrible! Our shrimp hamburger consisted of 5 whole peeled shrimp with melted cheese on a cheap bun. Our fish tacos were cold and has no flavor. Come here for the beach but... More

My husband and I stayed here from Dec 30th 2008 to Jan 6th 2009. ALthough this was our first trip to Tulum, this was not our first trip to Mexico. We enjoy rustic, simple settings and were not disappointed with our room at all. We were also quite pleased with our maid service. As far as any other service that... More

During a day trip to Tulum, my wife and I discovered this beach front hotel and bar that is south of the Mayan ruins on a simply amazing beach. We spent the afternoon on the beach near the bar and dining area and eventually moved to the bar area for a some afternoon cervezas and an early dinner. The beach... More
