Awesome hotel and sweet people. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. Zamas is on a beautiful cove, has it's own sweet little beach--with palapas, comfy chairs and big fluffy beach towels. Our room was a delight. We were across the road from the beach and set back slightly form the constantly busy road. The... More

Zamas is a great place to stay! My husband and I traveled to Tulum with our 6 month old son and stayed in one of their garden rooms for four days and really enjoyed it. We opted for a garden room because it was cheaper but it was by no means a lesser room. The rooms themselves are massive with... More

Zamas, a truly wonderful place. We were shown to our room across from the beach, hammock outside, the room and adjoining bathroom were huge, a water dispenser in room for drinking, a fan and a safe. The room and towels were attended to daily by the zamas staff impeccably. We left all the windows open the whole time as there... More

We had a "garden cabin with ocean view." It is actually a small group of cabins nestled in a Coconut Grove, a short walk to a rocky outcrop with a superb view of the sea. At night you can hear the sounds of the waves and very little of local noise - lovely. The cabin is extremely spacious with super... More

Zamas is a truly a little paradise. It isn't for everyone, especially those who demand air conditioning, but folks of a certain type are sure to find it a place they'd love to return to time and again. We plan to do that. Our one-bedroom cabana was right on the beach. Our kids had a huge cabana on the jungle... More

Not ever having been to Tulum, we chose Zamas based on the favorable review in the NYT and we are glad we did. Salvador welcomed us on the road and helped with our luggage. The two bedroom cabana was perfect for our needs...roomy, breezy and spotless with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the hammocks on the porch. Daily... More

Not much to add that other reviews don't mention. Great mid-range hotel in Tulum. We enjoyed our stay and would return again. Good location near a few restaurants within in 3 minutes and easy bike rental nearby. Can walk to another set of great restaurants in less than 10 minutes (Resturare, El Tabon and Posada Margarita). Hartwood, Casa Banana, etc... More

There ay be more traffic on the road now but after our 7th visit to Zamas it remains my favorite winter get away place.Between fancy/boutique vibe and funky rustic...somewhere in the middle, Zamas is just right. Salvador at the front "desk", under a palapa roof, handles everything smoothly. Sarah's smile at breakfast is a great was to start the day... More

We picked this place as it was reviewed in the NY times 36 hours as a place to stay. We stayed on the jungle side as well as beach side. In fact, we are here now. I write to save anyone disappointment. The service is okay if you like waiting... A lot. There is nothing on the house so to... More

We stayed in three places during our time in Tulum. This was the best place. We wanted to stay in an "Eco-resort" in a Cabaña, and this was the perfect choice. The only downside we found was that the cabanas were close to the road and the noise in the morning made it hard to sleep. I don't know if... More
