Zamas is a great beachside restaurant. They make awesome drinks, love the Celosa which is a mescal drink with ginger and honey - mmmm! The food is great, particularly love the tacos. The beach is not as pretty as the main beach, but its great sitting by the sea and enjoying a meal and good rinks. definitely worth the visit!

We enjoyed our stay at Zamas. We love Tulum and Zamas certainly fits in with the local vibe. I would have liked to give it 3 1/2 stars, because while they did many things well, there are a few things on a service level, that if they did better, could elevate this property to 4 star. Very clean, beautiful, large... More

Zamas is a special place in a special location. Tulum is great, no doubt about it. What makes Zamas special, though, is the combination of three things: location, people and flexibility. They're not on the biggest beach, but they are on their own (it's not contiguous to a bunch of other hotels). And the view from that beach is terrific.... More

Ate there often, didn't stay. Great cappuccino, and food. Loved the Danny Burger! They usually have great bands every night! practically sitting on the beach and the outside deck has a great view. Can't wait to go again.

Awesome hotel and sweet people. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. Zamas is on a beautiful cove, has it's own sweet little beach--with palapas, comfy chairs and big fluffy beach towels. Our room was a delight. We were across the road from the beach and set back slightly form the constantly busy road. The... More

Zamas is a great place to stay! My husband and I traveled to Tulum with our 6 month old son and stayed in one of their garden rooms for four days and really enjoyed it. We opted for a garden room because it was cheaper but it was by no means a lesser room. The rooms themselves are massive with... More

Zamas, a truly wonderful place. We were shown to our room across from the beach, hammock outside, the room and adjoining bathroom were huge, a water dispenser in room for drinking, a fan and a safe. The room and towels were attended to daily by the zamas staff impeccably. We left all the windows open the whole time as there... More

We had a "garden cabin with ocean view." It is actually a small group of cabins nestled in a Coconut Grove, a short walk to a rocky outcrop with a superb view of the sea. At night you can hear the sounds of the waves and very little of local noise - lovely. The cabin is extremely spacious with super... More

Zamas is a truly a little paradise. It isn't for everyone, especially those who demand air conditioning, but folks of a certain type are sure to find it a place they'd love to return to time and again. We plan to do that. Our one-bedroom cabana was right on the beach. Our kids had a huge cabana on the jungle... More

Not ever having been to Tulum, we chose Zamas based on the favorable review in the NYT and we are glad we did. Salvador welcomed us on the road and helped with our luggage. The two bedroom cabana was perfect for our needs...roomy, breezy and spotless with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the hammocks on the porch. Daily... More
