My husband and myself stayed at Zamas for 4 nights, 5 days in the middle of January, and we loved every minute of it! There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, which, bless the employees would remove as much as they could everyday, but we honestly did not mind the seaweed. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the... More

We arrived just after Christmas and booked a room on the beach ! The room was so small that it was impossible de open your suitcase. The hotel is just by a very busy road with a non stop trafic. The price was a palace's room price ans i really believe that's a shame to propose such a room in... More

We stayed in a small beach front cabin for 6 nights. They are small but the bed is big. Hammocks out the front were regularly used. We didn't sit on the beach as there was quite a lot of seaweed, although the staff make a big effort to remove as much as they can. It's a good location, central in... More

Our room was great. We had beautiful view of the sunrise every morning. But as nice as the spot is, what really makes this place special are the people who work there. Frine at the front desk was extremely helpful with all logistics. She had amazing recommendations and she even returned our bikes for us so that we wouldn't be... More

Firstly I'd like to acknowledge that when me and my boyfriend checked out a night early Susan the owner offered us a full refund for the night we didn't stay. We weren't expecting a refund and it was gracious of her to offer. Here's the deal with Zamas first and Foremost it's a Eco resort. I respect Susan's commitment to... More

Hola! Thank you for your feedback. I’m happy I had a chance to chat with you. I just wish we could have chatted on your first night and not at the time of your departure. I think you would have truly enjoyed your stay with a little more guidance about the area. When the moon is not out, Tulum beach... More

Zamas was even better than I expected. We stayed in a Garden View room, which was a bit pricey (not compared to other hotels in Tulum, though), but beautifully simple and spacious, with a great bathroom/shower. The room got hot at night, but the fans worked well. The restaurant was extremely convenient, affordable, and tasty (tequila fish tacos were excellent,... More

We spent our holidays at other resort in Tulum, but went to Zamas to have lunch/dinner and to celebrate my birthday. We also had intimate wedding that day and wanted something special. We contacted Chelsea, hotel owner, by mail and get response really quick. Table on perfect position waited us and we were able to switch tables during day according... More

I loved the relaxed atmosphere. Great beach access and beautiful views from the restaurant. While I was there they had a visiting guest chef from San Francisco who made some delightful dinner specials, even some homemade coconut ice cream! The restaurant had live music which added to the dinner atmosphere. You can walk along the beach and also the road... More

I could not recommend Zamas more. We had a terrible experience at our first hotel in Tulum, but were planning to switch to Zamas mid-stay anyway. We asked to check in early, and they happily accommodated us. We stayed in two different hotel rooms -- a Garden and Beachfront. The Garden room was big and really comfortable. The Beachfront was... Zamas has a cluster of very unique little bungalows, several on the beach and then more across the road on the "jungle" side. The particular bungalow we had was on the jungle side, was quite spacious, however, if we didn't have every window open plus the door and fan running, it proved to be horribly hot and at times downright...
