We just had our wedding and honeymoon at Zamas and loved it! The staff was really wonderful, especially Miguel at the restaurant, and the room was beautiful. It's rustic, but the ceiling fan and floor fan made sleeping comfortable with the ocean breeze coming in. The heat in the rooms across the road was a bit rougher, though. We had... More

We were delighted to have your wedding at ZAMAS. We’re thrilled you enjoyed your stay and the festivities and we’re happy you loved your room! Thank you for the special mentions for Miguel and Mara too!!! As you say, the mosquitoes can be bad from time to time – it depends upon how much rain we’ve had and unfortunately it... More

We stayed at zamas for 1 night. Which happened to be our first night in Tulum. We arrived around 8pm, found the front desk, checked in then got taken to our room. Whoever it was that took us to our room didn't say a word to us until he unlocked the door, flicked one light on and said " there... More

We had a really great time and the staff was awesome. Very polite folks and the place was very clean. The beach front is okay, it is rocky. The beach itself was pretty nice and the palapas were cool. Snorkeling could be done BUT then there are better places to go for that near Zamas. Food was really good... wow...... More

The room at Zamas was perfect for 3 friends. Two big beds, a huge bathroom, huge terrace and wonderful ocean breeze at night and ocean view. Note that all the rooms are across the street from the beach, The main draw back is that Zamas' section of the beach is not for swimming. It is rocky and seaweedy. If you... More

We’re thrilled to hear that you loved your room! Many of our repeat guests choose these jungle side rooms for just the reasons you describe – the ocean views, the breezes and the spaciousness. However, we are very sorry to hear about your swimming experience. Although we have the large bluff on the northern end, the middle of our beach... More

I went to mexico for 2 weeks with a good friend, and our last stop was supposed to be Tulum (for 3 days). After reading reviews about Zamas and checking out the site and photos, I thought it'd be cool to stay in something other than a "regular" hotel or resort (after being in Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Playa del... We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at ZAMAS. While it is true that Tulum and ZAMAS provide a more nature-based experience, this does not need to result in less comfort. It is our experience that a guest who is accumstomed to a Cancun-style vacation will really enjoy the more natural experience with the right attention from... More

My friend and I stayed in a double queen bed room with a huge bathroom. We were only a short walk away from the gorgeous beach. Each night, the staff would come in and put the mosquito nets down over our beds and leave different kinds of fruit infused water. It was pleasant to come back to after nights at... More

Our room was massive (top floor ocean view) and felt very secluded with a great view! ¡Que Fresco! serves up the best margaritas, ceviche and fish tacos in all of tulum! The staff were all helpful and very friendly. The beach at this end of Tulum is a bit rocky, but pristine beach nearby. Highly recommend!

You know how you hope that when you book a place you so hope that it is as good as the photos you've seen on the website... Zamas exceeds expectations. We loved the location - it's own beach, plenty of loungers and hammocks, the lovely colourful cafe/restaurant for leisurely breakfasts, lunches and also dinners, the cabins and that basically you... Absolutely great place to just sit back and relax. The cabanas are very spacious, with 2 queen beds and a very big bathroom. The hammocks outside the cabana are a great touch! The restaurant of Zamas offers quality and fresh food all day. Only minus is the beach. There were huge amounts of seaweed on the beach, so we didn't... More

We loved this small quiet spot on the Tulum beach, everyone from the restaurant help, concierge, managers and owner were accomodating and friendly. The restaurant is great too, very fresh food: breakfast, lunch or dinner.
