We stayed at Amansala while attending a yoga retreat and it was a great experience. The location is fantastic with a great beach to enjoy, enough small shops/stores nearby to poke around in and you have the wonderful Mayan ruins of Tulum just a bike ride (or ambitious but doable) walk away. Melissa and her staff have created a very... More

Amansala is a shanty place if you like meditation and yoga. They have amazing yoga shalas and the best one is located in amansala chica. Rooms are nice, i will say they need a little bit more of nice chic decoration. The amenities are so nice the honey products makes me wish i can eat it. They have great dogs!... More

My wife and I stayed at Amansala for 8 nights in July/Aug 2014 and had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable experience. First, a brief description Tulum in general for the uninformed (as I was). Although they use the same airport, Tulum is not Cancun or Playa del Carmen. It is very tranquil with mostly small boutique hotels. No big nightclubs... More

I absolutely loved this place! From the healthy food, to the cool waters, to the night time salsa and cooking classes. We had an amazing experience, and I cannot wait to go back. I expect that my life will never be the same because of this magical place. Words do not do it justice.

The friendly and attentive staff, pristine beach, delicious food and tranquil environment which was ideal for yoga practice made my visit at Amansala one of the best overall experiences of my life!!!! The attention to detail paid by Amansala folks in creating the tone for a healthy, relaxing and luxurious getaway was quite evident... Rustic & simple, yet modern, bohemian... More

We stayed in Amansala for three nights. The cabanas were nice and the view and the sound of sea perfect. Food was good and healthy. Local staff was very very friendly towards us. However as we did not attend any yoga retreat we felt a bit second class customers. There were no yoga class available for us and the dining... More

This was my first time to Tulum. I went to a yoga retreat given by one of my best friends (Agoura Power of Yoga) from Agoura, Ca. This was the perfect backdrop for it. There are swinging daybeds everywhere. Hammocks wherever you look. Little conversation areas in the sand and all over property. The rooms are in hut type structures.... More

Paid for a beach front room. Upon arrival was taken to room 22 a partial ocean view room. I tried to speak with the owner and she told me she could not talk to me till 12:30 because she was checking out a group. Came back to talk with her and dealt with another manager who showed us the computer... More

Yoga retreat? This is the place! The front studio faces the ocean with its wrap around windows and great wooden floors. The second studio has a smaller view, but still the great beach breeze. The food was healthy, fresh and yummy. The staff was so nice and friendly, not always well organized, but so pleasant about every thing. Be sure... More

Where do i begin to describe one of the most carefully planned beachfront mini resorts in Tulum, with its tidy, modern, boutique presentation whilst maintaining an authentic feel, and eco - friendly running. The hotel was situated somewhere along the most beautiful strip of coastline, free from any rocks or seaweed. Pure white sands and floating beds to lounge around... More
