This is by far the best hostel I've ever experienced. I spent several nights there last winter and this winter I returned. The staff are wonderful and thoughtful, and one even remembered me from year to year! The two hostel rooms are well appointed and comfortable -- and they have regular twin beds, not bunk beds!! Showers have great pressure... More

I can find no failures in this hostel, not even if I try hard. Very nice rooms, superbly decorated. Nice strong hot showers. Great decoration all over, nice bar and nice dining room. Good equipped kitchen. Beautiful garden. Lovely dog and cat on site. Super nice staff. Decent internet and great coffee for breakfast. Appropriate and spot on advice on... More

What a find!...I mean that in 2 ways: it was a great spot after a long day of travel but it was not easy to find. At the south edge of town and not well lit but that was the nice part of it as well. The place was beautifully laid out with a nice reception area, beautiful garden and... More

el jardin de frida is a wonderful place. tulum at christmas time is packed and over-priced like hell, but the hostel was a lovely oasis during our days spent there. the staff is super informative, the baristas who serve breakfast in the morning and cocktails at night are extremely kind and friendly. even the hostel's mascotte, a nice dog named... This was right up my street. Well set out. Lots of places to stop and relax in, reception, garden, bar and very helpful friendly staff. They have wifi which was great. Tulum feels very safe and the relaxed feeling that this place creates adds to that. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Thanks to the Jardin de Frida gang.... More

This is our second stay at Jardin de Frida, the first one was excellent and it just got better! Don't get me wrong, I've stayed at fancy Fairmont hotels, but this place is so unique and inviting! Unfortunately, restaurant was closed, so we didn't have a chance to try their food. We were really happy to see Frida and Coco!... More

I was looking for a quiet place on the Riviera Maya to escape Mexico City. The name already suggested what I was looking for and I did find it there :) Hammocks, a beautiful garden and nice tropical style rooms - just perfect. Even though they had construction going on during my stay they did try to not bother the... More

I absolutely loved El Jardin de Frida. It's right on the edge of the town, but definitely within walking distance from the ADO bus station, a lot of shops and restaurants, and it's easy to get to the beach and ruins from. Everyone at the hostel was SO kind and wonderful, and the hostel itself is so beautiful.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay 2 nights here because it was fully booked and im not surprised. The reception area is so nice to chill out in and outside as well is beautiful. The dorm had very comfortable beds and 2 showers for 8 people which was good. Quite far from the beaches, but most of tulum town... More
