We had an amazing 9 day holiday at La Conchita. La Conchita is perfect: clean, in good taste, great breakfast, quiet and professional. We travel around the world and this is a place we will return to. As a bonus, three turtle nests hatched 10 feet from our cabana and we escorted the hatchlings to the beach! PS: Try the... more

I expected to be blown away by this hotel given the reviews here, but honestly I spent more time down the road at Cabanas Copal utilizing their beach, yoga, restaurant, spa, and sundry services. First, let me say that the beach is private and lovely, as are the rooms and the breakfast nook. It is very peaceful and quiet. The... more

We would like to respond to the tourist who reported bad service at La Conchita simply because this is such a rare event and needs to be addressed. The date of these remarks is to be noted. First of all, it was just after the hurricane and all of our staff was exhausted from having rebuilt a major part of...

What a wonderful place by the beach! The staff were very nice, and there are only 8 rooms, so even though the place was full, it felt like nobody was there. It's a very quiet mellow place, out of the way, perfect for comfortably unwinding and getting away from it all. It would make a great honeymoon spot. It's right... more

We stayed in cabana number 7, just a few steps away from the beach. The room was clean and comfortable- the bed was equipped with a mosquito net, which was a blessing given that there is a section of exposed space between the walls and the roof. But, the main complaint regarding the room was the heat- especially during the... more

We were lucky enough to show up without a reservation and ended up with Cabana #1. Our cabana was spacious, came equipped with filtered water, candles (electricity only on from 7-10 p.m.), mosquito netting over the bed, large shower, beach towels, private patio with hammock (my favorite spot), and beach front access. Yes, cabana #1 is right on the beach.... more

If you are looking for postcard beaches and the hedonism and ease of an all-inclusive type vacation, DO NOT GO HERE. If you want to unplug and break routine, if you want to experience local culture, local cuisine and enjoy nature NATURALLY, then this is the place for you! No phone, no electric (except for lights from 7-10pm provided by... more

I chose this property based on the majority of the positive reviews on tripadvisor. Believe every thing they say becase its all true! The room was very clean and they come in every day and scrubbed... more

We were curious about La Conchita due to the many mixed reviews we read...but it exceeded our expectations! We had a wonderful honeymoon, spent many relaxing days on the private beach (lounge chairs and towels provided), and enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast everyday. The staff was very nice, professional, and helpful with dinner suggestions and more. The rooms were... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in Tulum, the last 4 nights of which were spent at La Conchita in cabana 3. Since Conchita was booked the first three nights of our vacation, we stayed at Hemingway Eco Resort (see separate review). Now I'm glad we got two different perspectives of the Tulum hotel experience. We... more

My husband and I stayed at La Conchita 04-25-07 to 05-01-07. I am rating this as Excellent (which I never do, since nothing is perfect) but the staff were wonderful and so very helpful neither one of us speak any spanish we had no problem making our needs known. The property was very clean and well kept. Jorge is very... more
