The other reviews have been very accurate, so rather than repeat the details, here's is what it's like. When you wake up, you shuffle through the sand to a delicious breakfast. After quickly ordering from the friendly staff, you start with coffee, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. Then you're served a delicious breakfast. When you finish your plate, the staff... more

The stretch of beach the cabanas are located on is quiet and beautiful, a perfect place to relax and unwind. They take care of the little details, such as providing a cooler for enjoying your drinks on the beach and having plenty of bottled water for use in the bathroom. The rooms are very clean and airy. Having no electricity... more

I booked our week stay here well in advance, as it was Easter week. The people at Different World were very efficient, and we had no problems with the booking. The cabanas are beautifully decorated, and the whole setting is what you would expect from Tulum. The electric goes off at 10pm, which in my mind only made it more... more

We just returned from 7 perfect days at la Conchita. The rooms are simple and clean and have ample indoor and outdoor living space. The food is delicious and made to order. The owner and his team are warm and helpful. This is the right place for people who like relative privacy, plenty of quiet, simplicity, and the feeling of... more

This was truly a Caribbean paradise. The cabana we stayed in (#7) was lovely and very comfortable. The white sandy beach is literally a stone's throw from the cabanas. The bed was very comfortable, as was the hammock on our front "porch." Bottled water and beach towels are provided. The breakfast is excellent and quite ample. The "no lights" policy,... more

We stayed here for a few quiet days in January. You have to know what you are booking before you go-- the hotel is right on the beach, but it is not a luxury hotel. The cabins are rustic, no AC, and there is no power at night and during the day. But that is the charm. There are hammocks... more

We loved this place. We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was great. We stayed in room 6 which was an upstairs cabana facing the sea. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely and the staff really friendly. We had a few animal visitors in the room.. cricket, crab and... more

We had an amazing 9 day holiday at La Conchita. La Conchita is perfect: clean, in good taste, great breakfast, quiet and professional. We travel around the world and this is a place we will return to. As a bonus, three turtle nests hatched 10 feet from our cabana and we escorted the hatchlings to the beach! PS: Try the... more

I expected to be blown away by this hotel given the reviews here, but honestly I spent more time down the road at Cabanas Copal utilizing their beach, yoga, restaurant, spa, and sundry services. First, let me say that the beach is private and lovely, as are the rooms and the breakfast nook. It is very peaceful and quiet. The... more

Management response from

We would like to respond to the tourist who reported bad service at La Conchita simply because this is such a rare event and needs to be addressed. The date of these remarks is to be noted. First of all, it was just after the hurricane and all of our staff was exhausted from having rebuilt a major part of...

What a wonderful place by the beach! The staff were very nice, and there are only 8 rooms, so even though the place was full, it felt like nobody was there. It's a very quiet mellow place, out of the way, perfect for comfortably unwinding and getting away from it all. It would make a great honeymoon spot. It's right... more
