This is a very nice hotel with better than average amenities but they charge you for every little thing and $15 for a margarita is pretty outrageous. The front desk staff was friendly but provided incorrect and inconsistent information on several occasions that cost us extra. They provided an incorrect password for the hotel wireless, and although I am sure... More

I looked at many reviews before booking our hotel, and for some reason Las Ranitas ended up being my final pick. Although our room had a wonderful view of the ocean, I thought the location was a little far out, and the actual hotel was just average. There was little lighting in the room, so it made getting ready difficult.... More

Ten years later, Las Ranitas is still a super classy and beautiful hotel in a great location. The most breathtaking part of this hotel is walking into the main building/restaurant area because you are slightly elevated, looking down on a beautiful stretch of pristine beach with the most refreshing ocean breeze. I could sit here all day, it's truly that... More

This was our first trip to Tulum and I'm so glad we chose to stay at Las Ranitas. We booked the upper room in Cristal (a little more expensive than the other rooms, but worth the $). We actually felt like the room was very secluded and private even though there were not many people staying there at the time.... More

We didn't stay here but came for lunch on three occasions during our stay in Tulum. The restaurant has an ideal setting on one of the best stretches of the beach, the staff are lovely and the food ( especially the Maya Tuna Romance) was delicious. Also very reasonably priced.

We stayed at Las Ranitas for only one night, but it was great. The staff was so nice and the rooms were clean. A little bare bones, but a wonderful experience overall. The food at the restaurant was great, and they offer yoga every day for only $15 USD. Would recommend!

We stayed for five nights in this hotel. It was expensive so we expected a very nice place. The room was bigger than we needed, we got 2 beds although we only needed one (we were a couple on a honeymoon), but when we asked to change rooms we were told that the other rooms are more expensive (weird) and... I stayed at Las Ranitas with my four children and we were all disappointed. It was an expensive resort and it definitely was not worth the money. We ate in the restaurant on three occasions and each time the service was slow and we had to ask for a menu and to make our orders. The room had a single... More

Arrival was welcoming and they expected us - always a good sign! The hotel, grounds and room were all as expected from their website. The view from the room was superb, the shower room spacious and everywhere was clean. When it rained heavily a small amount of water came though the roof light into the shower room, so no problem.... I haven't actually been here but, after all the great reviews, I was getting excited about going here! I went online to look at their reservations for 2015 and, after chatting with their reservations specialist because they looked booked throughout the entire year, she mentioned that they will be closing for renovations from March-December 2015. This was posted anywhere on... More
