Secret Garden is a small place set around a central court yard full of trees and plants making you feel you are in the depth of the mexican jungle rather than under 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Tulum. The staff are fantastic and the most welcoming of anywhere we stayed in Central America - helping us settle... More

Secret garden made our trip - it was exactly what we were looking for. It is a bit off the beach, which means it less touristy, but it is quick 20 min bike ride to the beach (and is right around the corner from an affordable bike shop). The rooms are clean & spacious, the outdoor seating area is a... More

Such a wonderful experience! The owner was very accommodating and sweet. Upon arrival, she gave us a map and explained/circled all the best beaches, restaurants, transportation amenities, etc. Air conditioning, wifi (weak at times), and clean facilities. White was a poor color choice for towels.. but they're clean so just suck it up and ignore the few stains. Put the... More

Secret Garden is absolutely lovely. The bungalos are cute, clean, and have plenty of space to fit 2-3 people comfortably. Although the hotel is not located in the main beach area, it's right in Tulum center, which is about a 4 kilometer bike ride to the beach. Besides the hotel having beautiful aesthetics, the staff was absolutely incredibly. The owner... More

Love the hotel. Everything is thought through. Breakfast is easy but nice. In the middle there is a garden where you can sit and relax. I can 100% recommend this hotel. The ADO Bus station is 2 blocks away and you get to all the sightseeing activities by using a collectivio (really cheap and very friendly people there).

We really enjoyed our stay at secret garden tulum. It's a lovely, small hotel with a great lounge area and super friendly staff. Lots of great bars & restaurants within walking distance, but nice & quiet.

We stayed here for a few days and for something so close to the town it was nice and relaxing. It's not a lot of money and so needs a touch up here and there. The rooms are clean and the staff are very pleasant. Lovely to wake to hear the birds singing just outside

Do not stay here if you care for basic hygiene. Towels and linen were old and covered in stains, member of staff said they were hard to clean but it was puzzling to think why new ones hadn't been bought. We found cockroaches in our room. It was very hot and AC was insubstantial. Facilities were inadequate, breakfast was incredibly... More

The hotel is located just five minutes away from the ADO station, in a residential area. The garden is peaceful and beautiful and the room was spacious, clean and with A/C. Wi-Fi was a bit weak in our room, although elsewhere was very strong. Staff were lovely and ultra-helpful. The owner is really nice and helpful as he recommended restaurants,... More
