This place has some near-average rooms and a quality bartending staff, but the positives end there. Hotel staff was extremely difficult to deal with. Rooms are not really beachfront, like most cabanas nearby, so you will swelter and stew and regret every minute in your cabana. Food is extremely overpriced. The private beach is awful: trashy, brown water, full of... More

this was a horrible experience. pro's the hammock is nice they do not allow smoking in the rooms (most likely because they would burst into flames) Cons photographs on the site do show the actual set up of rooms.views. locations power is sporatic at best staff are rude, slow, and inefficient we were grossly overcharged by more than $200 US... Went to Tulum on a suggestion from friends. We are city people so it was a little "rustic" and outside of the norm for us. The room was actually beautiful but being that we are from Los Angeles, where we have exactly NO bugs the bug situation kind of freaked us out. Lots of mosquito's and other small creatures which... Everything was really nice, while the cabañas are small, they were very clean and you can see the sea from your bed! It's a cozy very intimate hotel. Service from the personnel is great! The only thing that is AWFUL is the food from the restaurant. It's bad, expensive and the portions are extremely small. If you stay there I... More

We had originally booked a week at this hotel but after the third night we had to switch. The rooms don't have any of the amenities that were promised. The water pressure is awful and you have to wait 10 minutes to get hot water. There is no AC and the rooms don't have any wifi access, you have to... More

Been there 3 nights with my girlfriend at May 2014. The room is big and comfy, only 2 places for electricity. The location is really good, close to many restaurants and mini store. The beach was great, really private, not noisy and beautiful. The breakfast was quite poor and we had to order more dishes from the menu to satisfy... More

We had booked 2 nights and ended staying 4. The private yet simple beach, in a beautiful cove, and the pleasant host and staff made our stay wonderful. A bit pricey for an eco-lodge, but worth the price: a relaxing and very pleasant experience, in a calm and quiet area yet very close to lively places (walking distance).

We started our trip staying at the absolutely wonderful cabanas at Hotel Nueva Vida de Ramiro further up the beach. I had a couple extra days in Tulum so my friend and I decided to try this place, which we reserved at booking.com. This was a HUGE step down compared to the breathtaking Nueva Vida, which was pretty much the... More

We recently had a stay over spring break and it was wonderful. The room was quaint and perfect for two people. The staff was lovely and answered all our questions they helped us find different activities to do like visit Chichen Itza and Xcaret! The hotel owner even gave us a ride to the city. The only problem they had... More

We very much enjoyed our time here. It was a quiet spot, though close to many other attractions. A couple minor inconveniences during out stay, but we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice room, a nice beach and a nice price.
