one of the best holidays i've had, a lot down to staying at posada punta piedra. the staff were welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. the rooms beautiful and well kept. the restaurant has a good variety of food on the menu and all of it's delicious, we went to eat at a couple of other restaurants around Tulum, but actually... We came to Punta Piedra after having a horrible night at a different hotel. We were so happy to find that they had an open room for the six remaining nights of our vacation. Ramiro and Julianna worked the front desk and greeted us with a warm welcome each day. They helped us with whatever we needed (e.g., provided us... More

We stayed at Posada Punta Piedra for only three nights, but would have stayed longer. The rooms are nice, very clean, with palapa style roofs. The beach is nice, surrounded by rocks on both ends. The restaurant is very good. The staff try very hard, and will bring you drinks, food down to the beach. My girlfriend and I loved... More

We were a little surprised to find that the lights were solar powered and we like to read at night, so had to sit outside with very poor lights. You are really not able to walk anywhere from here after 6:30 p.m. as it is so dark- I supposed you could take headlamps with you and be alright. It is... More

I saved my last night in Tulum for a better hotel , more expensive with private bathroom and chose Punta Piedra. The rest of my vacation I was staying at Zazil Kin that has no bad surprises. But in Posada Punta piedra the lights went off all night so there was no fan, couldnt charge my phone to put an... More

We were walk ups and not in a position to argue about the price for the last room in the house, which was $US155. Wouldn't have minded if we had one of the beachfront shacks, but we were at the road, and next to the generator. Said generator was not only noisy but intermittent. So no ac. Supposedly there was... I choose this Hotel mainly for the proximity to the Beach and because was not all-inclusive enclosed resort structure.... Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about the insects, the lack of energy and Hot water, but I didn't have any issue at all. The first night was hot sleeping under the mosquito net, but as soon I turned... More

I'll start with the good: --We were greeted with friendly staff. --Our room was spacious, clean, pleasantly decorated, and featured a swan sculpture made of towels. I've always wanted one of those! The not-so-good: --No view! I booked online via Orbitz, and requested a "King View Room." Our room did *NOT* have a view. It was toward the rear of... More

Pleeeeease listen to this!!! This is by far the worst hotel I've ever been to. Random people would smoke and throw their cigarettes on your porch. The rooms smell like mold. They give you dirty sheets and towels. Bugs and cocroach are everywhere aThe staff is extremely unhelpful and they've never heard of the word sorry. The manager is nowhere... More

This was the worst place I have ever seen in my entire life. It is a bug and mosquito infested hellhole. The staff are rude and disrespectful. The room smelled like mold. I felt like I was sleeping in a hot and smelly sewer. The beach is dirty and extremely small. They never changed dirty sheets and towels. We asked... More
