We spent in the punta piedra 3 nights. We had dirty sheets with strange spotted stings, there was a bad smell in the room and the worse part is that we had cockroaches in the room!! The staff didn't do much about all.... Not recommended!! The only nice thing here is the privet beach.

It's on a great small beach enclosed by two rocky cliffs, and the view is great, but the room we had booked wasn't given to us. We booked it at a price of $648 plus taxes, etc., but when returned to the US, we were charged nearly $800. NOT COOL! Leaking toilet, no running or hot water the first day,... More

Nice little Hotel, which has few bungalows and few rooms in the main building only few steps to the more less private beach (hotel shares beach bay with 4 others). Outside the Hotel are few restaurants and shops, one mini-supermarket and many ATMs. The City of Tulum is only 5km away and the ruins of Tulum around 8km. Perfect to... More

We were in Tulum around late May and have booked 5 nights at the Posada. During my stay, I have fallen quite ill. At that time, I did not know what I have contracted but I was developing some sort of allergy reaction and rashes flared up. I thought maybe it was the mosquitoes, maybe there were bed bugs or... This place has some near-average rooms and a quality bartending staff, but the positives end there. Hotel staff was extremely difficult to deal with. Rooms are not really beachfront, like most cabanas nearby, so you will swelter and stew and regret every minute in your cabana. Food is extremely overpriced. The private beach is awful: trashy, brown water, full of... More

this was a horrible experience. pro's the hammock is nice they do not allow smoking in the rooms (most likely because they would burst into flames) Cons photographs on the site do show the actual set up of rooms.views. locations power is sporatic at best staff are rude, slow, and inefficient we were grossly overcharged by more than $200 US... Went to Tulum on a suggestion from friends. We are city people so it was a little "rustic" and outside of the norm for us. The room was actually beautiful but being that we are from Los Angeles, where we have exactly NO bugs the bug situation kind of freaked us out. Lots of mosquito's and other small creatures which... Everything was really nice, while the cabañas are small, they were very clean and you can see the sea from your bed! It's a cozy very intimate hotel. Service from the personnel is great! The only thing that is AWFUL is the food from the restaurant. It's bad, expensive and the portions are extremely small. If you stay there I... More

We had originally booked a week at this hotel but after the third night we had to switch. The rooms don't have any of the amenities that were promised. The water pressure is awful and you have to wait 10 minutes to get hot water. There is no AC and the rooms don't have any wifi access, you have to... More

Been there 3 nights with my girlfriend at May 2014. The room is big and comfy, only 2 places for electricity. The location is really good, close to many restaurants and mini store. The beach was great, really private, not noisy and beautiful. The breakfast was quite poor and we had to order more dishes from the menu to satisfy... More
