We started our trip staying at the absolutely wonderful cabanas at Hotel Nueva Vida de Ramiro further up the beach. I had a couple extra days in Tulum so my friend and I decided to try this place, which we reserved at booking.com. This was a HUGE step down compared to the breathtaking Nueva Vida, which was pretty much the... More

We recently had a stay over spring break and it was wonderful. The room was quaint and perfect for two people. The staff was lovely and answered all our questions they helped us find different activities to do like visit Chichen Itza and Xcaret! The hotel owner even gave us a ride to the city. The only problem they had... More

We very much enjoyed our time here. It was a quiet spot, though close to many other attractions. A couple minor inconveniences during out stay, but we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice room, a nice beach and a nice price.

We spent 7 days at this hotel. We had a balcony room with a view over the terrace, beach, and sea - amazing! If you are looking for a resort type place, do not stay here, this is not for you. This hotel is for people who appreciate the small things in life. The staff was super friendly! We didn't... More

Let's get the good news out of the way - the room rate compared to the rest of Tulum is very cheap, considering there is electricity with fans and hot water. However that's where the buck stops. It's on the beach, but the stretch is not the biggest or the nicest (head towards Ahau for that), and the rooms are... More

We stayed at Posada Punta Piedra for the last two nights of our weeklong trip to Tulum. Recommended for couples and families that want to be in Tulum but perhaps be off of the main stretch of beach. If you want to be on the main, large beach, this is not the hotel for you - though this little private... More

Posada Punta Piedra does not give you a great hotel experience. The hotel staff is indifferent. The staff at the attached restaurant tries to be friendly, but it all seems a bit forced. The best thing about the Posada is that it is in the center of the hotel district, so there are many restaurants to choose from, some with... More

Stayed for a few days after a destination wedding at an all-inclusive closer to Cancun. Very relaxing and a nice contrast to the first part of my holiday. Comfortable room, good restaurant on site, nice dining room on the beach and chair-side cervasa service on the beach. Very very restful. Located on a small private beach at the top end... More

I stayed here with some friends over New Year, and found to be a pleasant place. The reception was very helpful, and the manager David, very accommodating with late check-outs and a few other technicalities I had going on. Staff pleasant, but not too chatty. Location is super, on a rather private bit of beach, about 2km from the ruinez,... More

Property is right on the beach, also close (cycling distance) to Tulum Ruins and Gran Cenote Tulum, and also a super market. Nice restaurant called Mivida within the property by the beach. Street on which the hotel was located was also lively and nice with eating options and a small store. But the rooms were very small, average maintained, floors... More
