Me and my partner spent a whole week in Playa Mambo cabanas and the experience was really superb. We went there looking for a quiet place to rest and enjoy the sea and we found exactly that. The cabins were ample, clean, silent and nicely decorated, with a king-size bed covered by a mosquito-net. In six nights we found zero... More

Everyone who arrives at Tulum should know that the hotels on the beach (Zona Hotelera) are located in a national park. Because of that the hotels cant connect to the electricity lines and are not connected to water pipes. We didnt knew it when we made the reservation to Playa Mambo. There was no A/C in the room, just a... More

This was our first time to Tulum and the beach outside the hotel really is beautiful and we love how the bungalows and beach area at Playo Mambo have been designed. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast here was good with lovely fruit and toast... More

This is a quaint little spot. The rooms are very cool, and each has it's color theme. Ours was fuchsia. All the rooms are very close to the beach, even if not beach front. The free breakfast was satisfying, but if you want a big breakfast, you'll have to order more. The tomatillo jelly is amazing!!!! Drinks on the beach,... More

Gorgeous beach, stunning garden, friendliest and most helpful staff ever! Want to wake up to the sound of waves, and the head to the buglao cafe to be greeted by shy iguanas and homemade jam and bread? This is the place for you, we just loved it and are definitely coming back. The perfect mix of eco-tourism and comfy rooms.... More

I had done extensive research with regards of where to stay in Tulum; wanted good location, clean, ON the beach, private bath, and all within our modest budget--Playa Mambo could not have been more perfect! Plus, the staff well exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond daily to make sure our stay was nothing but amazing! My boyfriend and... More

The first and only night I stayed was enough to make me consider another place. – poorly served breakfast; – insenaly hot rooms (no a/c, so it's almost impossible to sleep); – weak shower that floods everytime you use; – weak lighting inside the room – no wifi connection (bad one on the front door); – they don't accept credit... We stayed here for two nights as part of our honeymoon tour around Mexico. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. No AC but there is a fan to use at night. The little beach in front of the hotel is perfect - White sand and clean, warm sea. The beachfront bar makes great cocktails and the restaurant serves a... More

We enjoyed a perfect 5 days at Playa Mambo. Nati and Frederico and their staff took care of our every need. Isaac, Fernando and Jairo spoiled us with delicious food and drinks. Breakfast was perfect each day...we loved the presentation of the sliced local fruit with mint, toast with homemade marmalade and coffee. We also enjoyed being served fish tacos... More

My boyfriend and I went to Playa Mambo in December as part of a two week trip travelling around Mexico. It was absolute paradise at Playa Mambo. We loved the simplicity of the cabins, their proximity to the beach (i.e. on it). We were told there was only a 'garden view' available, but in fact our garden view was still... More
