I first heard of Casa de las Olas when I met Jimmy (the owner and most wonderful host ever) a few years ago on a visit to Tulum. Jimmy told us with such enthusiasm how excited he was to be opening a place that was truly sustainable. After chatting with him and hearing about his passion, I knew that I... More

Impeccable service in an unbelievable tropic settting, Olas is not to be missed by anyone looking to encounter an authentic off the grid experience. Solar powered, sustainably run, with every amenity and hospitality you could need on the Tulum beach front. This is not the "eco-chic" sold up the beach, but a true commitment to living in symbiosis with the... More

The most incredible experience hands down! The location was perfect. Steps away from a tropical beach that is home to nesting sea turtles. Spectacular views of tortugas laying eggs on the beach at night. The tours of local attractions were included and the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. We went off the beaten path and it was so worth it.... More

We've been traveling to Tulum for years now and just discovered Las Olas. We loved everything about the place- the removed location, the small, intimate setting, how relaxed and friendly everyone was, the amazing breakfasts and lunches, the list goes on... It was the ideal setting to wind down from city life and relax. Sam and Jimmy were amazing hosts-... More

My first trip to Tulum was more than I could have ever expected with my stay at Casa de las Olas. The hotel and beach are as private as one could imagine bordering the protected primitive jungle coastline, and close but far enough away from the many restaurants, yoga studios, and shops on the Boca Paila beach road. The hotel... More

My experience at Olas is not one that will soon be forgotten. For starters, the location alone is nothing short of a dream. Whereas most of Tulum beach has become a bit crowded and loud for my taste, the beach in front of Casa de las Olas is quiet, pristine and secluded. Apart from the occasional passerby, you truly feel... More

Just stayed here a week ago, on a solo trip. Perfect location at end of Tulum beach, supremely relaxing. Small, intimate, great breakfast and lunches by the delightful Lulu. My room was perfect, and the staff are friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. The other guests I met were all interesting, and hosts Jimmy and Sam were great at recommending things... More

We split our Tulum trip between two hotels. The first was a cabana on the jungle side of the road at a mid-level hotel for under $200/night. The second was the Ocean Front Suite at Casa de las Olas for $300/night. It was on the high end of our budget, but we thought we'd splurge for something truly special based... More

My Husband and I originally picked this property because it was the last one on the beach. When we arrived, Jimmy and some of his amazing staff( who feels more like family) was there to greet us and help carry everything to our room. We had no idea what to expect having not stayed here before.... we were brought up... More
