Just stayed here a week ago, on a solo trip. Perfect location at end of Tulum beach, supremely relaxing. Small, intimate, great breakfast and lunches by the delightful Lulu. My room was perfect, and the staff are friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. The other guests I met were all interesting, and hosts Jimmy and Sam were great at recommending things... More

We split our Tulum trip between two hotels. The first was a cabana on the jungle side of the road at a mid-level hotel for under $200/night. The second was the Ocean Front Suite at Casa de las Olas for $300/night. It was on the high end of our budget, but we thought we'd splurge for something truly special based... More

My Husband and I originally picked this property because it was the last one on the beach. When we arrived, Jimmy and some of his amazing staff( who feels more like family) was there to greet us and help carry everything to our room. We had no idea what to expect having not stayed here before.... we were brought up... More

Our second visit to this superb location ,no doubt one of the finest on this coast .It was so lovely to just walk onto this lovely secluded beach. However you need to accept some basic shortfalls as there is no hot water in the wash basin or sink and no basin plug which makes a mockery of the Eco claims.Our... More

5:45AM- Wake up facing a perfect sunrise after the waves lull you to sleep. The Mayans use to call Tulum the land of the dawning sun. It gets no better. 6:30AM- Watch the kite-surfers in the distance dancing under the glowing sun and clouds. The beach will feel like it belongs all to yourself. 9AM- Hola Lulu! Coffee, juice, yogurt,... More

I honeymooned here and am now planning a return trip...The hosts, the staff, the place, the people...it's all so beautiful and you will be awestruck more than once. I highly recommend anyone to stay here when they are searching for a relaxing, fun trip! (I actually stayed in June 2012-this option was n/a in the dropdown!)

To be honest, there isn’t anything I can tell you about Casa de las Olas that hasn’t already been said. I read every single one of these reviews before traveling here with my wife in December and all the praise, the details, the recommendations, even the reluctancy to tell anyone else about it afterwards… they’re all true. Olas doesn’t have... More

Casa de las Olas is so close to my heart I hesitate to tell anyone about this amazing secret. As Tulum is increasingly 'discovered', Olas maintains that classic-Tulum feel of remote perfection, almost too good to be true. This beautiful beach house is tucked at the end of the beach road and out of the fray (which is still fun... More

We loved Casa de las Olas. On the best part of the beach in Tulum it is remote, private, low key, off the gird and special. Very special. Not a hotel really, not a resort, just a rustic but elegant low key beach hacienda in paradise. It is high end (but not obnoxious) and yet still rustic. Like I said... More

My husband and I were looking for a beach vacation but wanted something beyond the all-inclusive we had experienced in the past. What we found was Casa de las Olas and the Sustainable Food Workshop. We didn’t just go on a vacation, we went on an adventure. The accommodations are not the Four Seasons, but at Casa you leave a... More
